I have the BIG RED BANNER on my eBay selling page and have complied twice already - the update your account verification notification. I have uploaded information, received the THANKS with note of no further notification. Well, notification still there. Anyone else having trouble or some concern that this update of private information is not being handled well? When does the banner actually go away, along with the daily message notifications?

After verifying more than a dozen times, going through ebay chat support 4 times and having my payouts put on hold this was finally resolved.
Go to your personal or business information here- https://accountsettings.ebay.com/profile
Under your email address and phone number, it should say "verified". If it doesn't, edit/update/save again. If you have a landline phone, that wouldn't work for me but it did after entering a cell phone...which is ridiculous because not everyone has a cell phone.
And of course, upload a picture or scan of your license or whatever.
Hope this helps someone. I should get comped from ebay for all the time and frustration I spent with this... and now I'm doing customer service for them.

Yes, and Ebay doesn't seem to care or want to explain anything about it to us, I've tried to comply 3 times and it keeps coming back... You'll probably have to contact Ebay directly to do anything about it.....

I had 2 notifications. 1 to verify email and phone (so check your preferences to see those are correct)- so when I click 'ok' to 'verify' it just says 'thanks' (so I assume they just want to confirm that whatever you show on your preferences, is accurate). The 2nd notification was to submit phone id. I did, and it came back 2 hours later. Sent same again, red banner went away, and then next day was back. Redid the photos (scanned in color at highest resolution, save as jpeg; then 'edited' to 'crop' so the front and back of DL were very large and clear. Submitted those yesterday. Today, no issues, no red banner. Never received any notification that everything was good. We'll see.

I started getting the red banner on Oct 7th. Mine is just to verify my phone number and my email address. I click where it says to click to verify that they are correct. I have gotten several times the email with the code to verify the email address. I have gotten emails from EBAY stating that I have verified the information.
Sometimes when I click on the red banner it says they are checking my verification. Other times it has me go back in and reverify again. I have had the same email and phone number since I started with EBAY over 20 years ago
I have no idea with will happen Nov 9th which is my deadline to verify the information

Scanning the id is best. It's read by AI, not a person. Photos are hard for the AI to read.

I got the request to upload a photo id back in July. When I scanned it in I also retyped all my information in the profile, even though it hadn't changed. It all went just fine and haven't had any issues. Try doing that if you have to scan it again and see if that helps. My banners and reminders disappeared after I did that, but didn't get any other response from ebay that they received it. Good luck!

They should not assume that everyone has a scanner. I gave my scanners away years ago after I sold my newspaper I was publishing. For me if the ask for a driver's license it would have to be a photo.

I can't find the banner anywhere, and when I ask the chatbot, I get nothing but gibberish. I thought AI was going to take over the world. This is nonsense.
