I'm both a seller and a buyer, on July 1, I ordered around 10 DVDs for my daughter's birthday using my debit card. Never got an order confo, never showed in My Purchase History, but did deduct from my bank account but they showed as 'pending' payment for July 4. Have never seen that before in my bank account when I order anything. I got one email from ebay after ordering, and my bank showing deductions from my account for the orders, that said payment didn't go through with buttons next to each DVD that said Pay Now. Decided to wait and see what happens and then all of the orders showed up in my bank accounts as refunds dated July 2, and then the orders showed they were deducted AGAIN from my bank account on the same day after the refunds. My Ebay shows they were "returned or canceled". My bank suggested I talk to ebay, I did and an Indian sounding guy told me ebay was having problems with their check out and to dispute the charges at my bank. I don't know if the sellers ever even saw the orders. He also said the problem wouldn't be fixed until their next update on July 31. I need to order 2 laptops and am afraid to do it. I don't need all of this going on in my bank account, I don't need my money hung up. Anyone have any details on this situation that the guy from India didn't?
