I am furious with this change to the fixed listing format. For the majority of my listings I only ever had one of an item. I resent eBay automatically relisting items I no longer have and that I'm paying for them as it comes out of my monthly limit. I also noticed today that when they relist it automatically reverts back to the original listing. Meaning if I revised the listing during the cycle it doesn't show my revised version. I had a listing with multiple items. On March 23rd I revised that listing and added a new item at a different price. On March 28th I sold two of them and only had the higher priced one left. So I revised the listing again as I only had one left. When eBay automatically relisted my listing it reverted back to the original listing for whatever reason and the quantity was wrong. I hate having to babysit my listings now and delete them as they sell. NOW I know for sure the money grab is on.

Oh trust me, I know about AMZ fees lol Paid way too many for way too long (but no more).
I was just responding to your last paragraph. Apples & oranges.

I understand that is your point of view, I just don't agree. True Amazon does not charge listing fees, but there are other fees they do charge that Ebay does not. When I review fees, I look at the over all not by what the site calls the fees. Just going by how or what they call a fee doesn't give you a true reflection of the fees.

BUT they're not charging a fee every 30 days - plus sellers on venues aren't covered as consumers anyway.
Absolutely correct. But they have fees none the less and in many cases they are more than what Ebay charges overall. Besides as is evidenced from the threads. Lots and lots of buyers say they don't pay listings fees at all on Ebay because they always stick to their free allotments.

Re: eBay Fees - When you have a store you are paying for those SO-CALLED listings. They promote them as free - but they are NOT free. I pay $300 for FREE listings.

Nope, they're not spending a single dime fixing anything. I was discussing with a rep from ebay on the phone the other day about how completely out of date the listing form and the structured data output from it are. How many warnings and errors the output generates when run through Googles Structured Data Tool. Since the work required to update and fix this is something that literally any dev novice could do in short order, I questioned why it wasn't being done. The rep implanted his foot squarely in his mouth when he said "Oh we have been updating this and other sites like Australia. France, Germany etc have been updated. I replied "really, that's awesome. Can you please direct me to a listing located on a site that has been updated so that I can review the Structured Data output to see how the output errors/missing info has been addressed?" His answer? "Oh well, ummmm, we haven't actually updated any of the output but we did update the listing form somewhat"
I'm sure they heard me laughing all the way in the call center oversees where the fella I was speaking to was located.

That would be absolutely true if the store didn't have any other benefits at all. But as we know, there are other benefits of having a store. Some more important than others, but they still have value too. So NO a store subscription is NOT just about the allotted listings with the store level chosen by the seller.

What benefits would those be?

Are you saying you have a store and you have no idea what the benefits of that store are?
Some are:
Vacation settings
Store Fronts
Categories on your Store Front.
Shipping supply coupon
LOWER FVFs
Lower listing fees beyond the free allotment
ETC.
Maybe these other benefits don't matter to you but they do for many.
However I should add, you may have a Start Store. And if you do then you are correct. You don't get much beyond your free allotment of 100 listings.

Yes, I am in total agreement with you! It drives me mad to have to babysit the listings! I can’t understand why EBay makes it so difficult for their bread and butter .... the sellers are the way they make their easy money, you would think they would be a bit kinder.

Unfortunately that suggestion didn't work. Prior to GTC all my listings were sorted by ending soonest. Now they don't show that order no matter what I do. The ending dates are all over the place. I don't know how to fix this
05-17-2019 01:05 AM
They actually know that there are problems that are causing the issue I'm complaining about with the date formats out of order but they have done nothing to fix it. The date format on my listings are completely out of order so my active listings are showing June before May. and the specific days like May 31st before May 19th. It's a complete mess. I want the ending soonest format back. I hate the way eBay manages to screw up everything and it never benefits the seller. This is not what I pay store fees for.

This is the problem I need to have fixed. The end dates of my listings are all over the place so how can I sort to get them back? When I re4ad the link about GTC listings they knew this was going to be a problem but haven't done diddly to fix it.

If you click on the header of the column that will sort as to ascending or descending dates.. click it again and it will show the "other" of the two..........
I guess I should say that's in SH....and clicking the column header of most of the columns will sort in some way.........title sort will put in alphabetical order..........
Been that way since SH started, I think.........
