I knew it .... I knew it ....I knew it. I came on here awhile ago talking about diet pills people were selling that were fakes. One seller showed photo's of the true product and even cut down the people that were selling fakes. He had 30 auctions going on all ending at the same time... a total of 180 bottles ... all sold. Only two people got to give feedback because he is now non registered user ... from Hungry. The negative feedback said the product was never sent. Sooooo obviously he was a scammer as I thought he was. Just had to give an update

The only diet pill that’s ever worked was speed, but it came with devastating side effects…

"... and I wonder if eBay will actually investigate how the ingredients are different in the fakes, and even the photo is a tad different on the bottle ... and will they read on the companies site that the company says they are the only one that sells them."
Of course they won't... eBay is a selling platform, not an investigative entity.

@luckykey3 wrote:Thanks ... that's going to take a lot of effort, and I wonder if eBay will actually investigate how the ingredients are different in the fakes, and even the photo is a tad different on the bottle ... and will they read on the companies site that the company says they are the only one that sells them. --- When I have the time ... I might try doing all those reports.
Every once in a rare while, I'll find a lot of "compare to" listings (not allowed) for generics that are 1/3 the retail price of the name brand I'm hoping to list. If I have a bit of time before lunch or before I leave for the day, I'll report a dozen or so - after bookmarking the page in my browser. A week or two later, I'll recheck the bookmarks to see if the listing was removed or is still selling.
You are correct that eBay is handing off a lot of the grunt work to sellers. I think the idea is this: The big sellers, like the Diamond pay-to-play sellers, don't care about things like this. Small sellers do... but spending too much time policing eBay listings for zero income, and neglecting your own listing & shipping, is not good for your income or satisfaction with the site. So eBay lets the small fry complain away - after all, if enough of the 'noise' sellers go elsewhere, then eBay will be a 'quieter' place with less discord and only sellers who do exactly what eBay says, regardless of the effect on their own bottom line.
Or maybe I'm just seeing shadows behind the curtain that aren't really there. Hard to tell when it comes to eBay.....

Ask me about SixBit and the tools I use to sell - I'm happy to share!
