Did you mean:

Amazon Prime

I purchased on eBay some lotion which came today from an Amazon Fulfillment Center, Amazon Prime on the tape and box and an Amazon gift card inside.

Another case of an eBay seller using Amazon for free shipping. I usually have a live and let live attitude, but for some reason this bugs me.

That bugs Amazon more.

Re: Amazon Prime

So they are just buying it from amazon and shipping it to you?

Did you end up getting the lotion or a gift card?

What, exactly, is the problem?

Re: Amazon Prime

So that seller used Amazon as a drop shipper.  That's perfectly okay with eBay. Hard to understand why it would bother you.  Sellers do that with other big companies like WalMart also.

Re: Amazon Prime

eBay doesn't care, but Amazon does and it is against their policy. You can report prime abuse on their website.

Re: Amazon Prime

I don't care if sellers dropship from Amazon, Walmart or Mars. The issue is using their Amazon Prime to pay for shipping of eBay items they sell on eBay and telling Amazon it is a gift. From what I have read on these boards, Amazon doesn't like that, it's an abuse of their Prime membership. If I did that as a eBay seller, I would have recouped the $99 membership fee the first month.

Re: Amazon Prime

I received the lotion with an Amazon slip of paper reminding me to thank the person who sent me the "gift".

Re: Amazon Prime

Don't you think it was nice of the seller to include a gift card as well? I bought items from sellers who drop ship from Amazon and never received any gift cards. All I got is receipts and Thank You notes.

Re: Amazon Prime

I didn't get a gift card. I got a slip of paper telling me to be sure and thank the person who sent me the "gift", the "gift" being something I bought on eBay. By using their Amazon Prime and telling Amazon it is a gift, they pay nothing for shipping. This enables them to sell on eBay with "free shipping", giving them an advantage over other sellers.

Re: Amazon Prime

I had the same condition 2 weeks ago that I posted here. I spent an hour on the Amazon site and never found how to report abuse of Prime. Good luck and if you find where to report please post !

Well if it says right inside that it was a GIFT, then I guess you shouldn't have to be paying for it!

@this4chris2012

Everybody is kinda yanking your chain a bit..

The point is; It's an AMAZON issue. eBay isn't going to enforce Amazon policy especially if it makes them money.

Perhaps try over there to find a place to report it..

Re: Amazon Prime

If you go down to the bottom under help, scroll to the bottom of the help list there is a "need more help" option that allows you to enter your problem. Maybe you can do it there?

Any seller who will steal from Amazon has the potential to steal from you.
