I give 100% with every sell. My items are packed professionally, ship same day and write out hand written note to every buyer. Sometimes, include free treats or gifts. No one is leaving feedback anymore. I always leave feedback for every buyer. In my opinion, someone spends money with you, you thank them. Most of my purchases the seller will say, we give 5 star feedback when you leave us feedback. Extortion in my opinion. Feel so unappreciated. One's that ask the most out of me, never leave me feedback.

I just wish there was a quick and easy way for buyers to acknowledge safe and acceptable receipt of item (instead of seller having to just having to worry for however long )

@katzrul15 thank you for your reply about Memphis Tennessee 🤯😨 here in Northeast Mississippi taking care of my paralyzed elderly Mother. Trying to earn some extra money. Every package that goes through Memphis is grossly late by as much as 2 weeks. Think going to stop due to Memphis nightmare. I have to file late package claim on every package out of here. I live in California. Most of my packages arrive quickly to my customers. Past Christmas had to file for lost packages on East Coast. We're Cat 🐈😻 lovers here. Have rescue from 2017. She been the best cat ever! Named her Bella. Had no idea at the time, it means Beautiful in Italian 🙂🤗 thanks for heads up about Memphis Tennessee 🥴😳

Just another aspect of eBay they have managed to bugger up. Seller hub, from PayPal to managed payments and no support for sellers for a start... Are the people running eBay the same people running the US in 2021? Neither has a bloody clue... except how to screw stuff up...

There is. It's called feedback. What we've been discussing. I'm not familiar with the feedback glitches people have been talking about. Takes me about 30 seconds to leave feedback. Time well spent and I think I can afford 30 seconds out of my day.

No, that's the gang from 2020 and before, when most of this stuff was rolled out. 🙄

On this account I have left 36,487 FB and received 20,570, or a rate of 56.4%.
On my other store, 36,666 left and 19,025 received, 51.8%
So I wouldn't say almost nobody leaves FB any more.
Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

FWIW, I would say about 40% of our transactions result in feedback.

Internet wide it's roughly about 30-40%.

It was always 50% or so. If for some reason the customer wasn't satisfied, the last thing you want is ebay reminding them to get angry. I got a negative 48 days after the buyer got their item. My only option was to whine in a reply which in many ways makes me look bad. Some buyers weed out anyone with a feedback below 100%. That's not fair. No news is good news. It doesn't always matter if you tell the truth and describe the item accurately. The customer can still act like someone commenting on a youtube video with 15 beers in their belly. I think feedback should be eliminated all together.

One of the reasons nobody leaves feedback anymore is because they continually get the
"We ran into a problem saving your feedback. Please close the page and try again."
over and over until they just get used to it not working and then don't waste their time any more and stop even trying.

Lovely post from you. By the way, you have beautiful merchandise at great prices. I have my eyes on few pieces. Displayed beautifully and nice photos. I appreciate your post .

Thinking about this a little more ..... the word closure comes to mind. Feedback completes the transaction. It's like saying "thank you" as you leave a restaurant or check out at a store.
Having said that, I've gotten used to leaving feedback for buyers and not getting it back. I notice when it doesn't happen, but don't let it worry me. If there is a problem, I assume the buyer will let me know.

Absolutely correct! As I pointed out earlier, any buyer who has an issue, did not receive his package, or is not happy with what he received should be able to demonstrate his unhappiness via the Resolution Center. FWIW, I don't see the point of worrying through the entire 180 days that a buyer has to open a case with Paypal.

Unfortunately everything now a days its about ratings, "likes" & etc...
That's what we get for not speaking up, for allowing it...
Sellers can thank their customer via contact customer option, and buyers can do the same.
Why scream it out in the open? What is the point?
When I finish shopping in a store and get to the register to pay,
the sales associate doesn't go on the loud speaker to thank me publicly. A simple thank you is enough.
The whole thing It's so silly. I laugh when I read, "Excellent buyer...", or "Great buyer fast payment.."
I wasn't aware that you can buy something without first paying on ebay...
Paying for your purchase doesn't make you excellent or great, or the king or queen of ebay.
