Am i covered for paypal seller protection?

Hello, i sold something on Ebay at the start of the month. The guy had paid via paypal and i received the notification and went to print the label and ship quickly. After checking paypal and sending out the package i went home and seen a message on ebay stating they " entered the wrong address use x address instead " well i had already shipped it. Later on in the night i recieved ANOTHER message stating to instead of sending to the address they listed send to ANOTHER different address. Well thats not possible as i had shipped it out 5 hours prior. they said ok no problem, and i told them i had paid for signature conformation, after that they seemed to have figured their scam was going to fail so they started sending me mass messages of " i did not confirm this purchase " " i will not accept any packages or payments " among other seemingly pre written statements. After that i stopped communication with them as i knew they were seemingly going to file a charge back. So i quickly checked Ebay confirmed address on the end statment and the name and address matches the paypal name and address. that is the address i shipped to, am i covered by paypal seller protection? and what will that consist of? its my first time in the last 2 years of someone charging me back trying to scam. Im currently in the negative on paypal awaiting messages from them.

You are covered against INR and Unauthorized Charged claims as long as you shipped to the address attached to the payment. What sort of Chargeback back have they opened?

If you shipped to the address on the payment, Paypal WILL cover you for an unauthorized use chargeback. All you have to do is show shipment to that address.

They will also cover an item not received as long as delivery confirmation states delivered.

They will NOT cover any sort of not as described complaint.

As long as you shipped to the address on the payment notification, if your buyer refuses the package or the tracking [I assume you got tracking] shows delivered, they can't win an INR [item not received] case in Ebay or PP.

Now if the accept the package and file an INAD [item not as described] case, that is handled differently.  But they would need to return the item before you refunded.  It can be more complicated than that, but there are many variables that we can go over IF your buyer files an INAD.

Wondering how you were able to pay for signature confirmation without getting tracking?

It was shipped to the address that was confirmed on the paypal checkout, i double checked on ebay after the fact and the address shipped to was both on ebay and paypal

It states 

The buyer reported that someone made the order without their permission. Until this case is closed, we've also placed a hold on the transaction amount.

The buyer has filed a case with their financial institution 

The tracking shows that the person who signed for it was the person whos name was on the checkout slip on paypal and was shipped and received at the address that was on paypal

I would advise you to log all that information into the PP resolution center on this claim.  Then I would call PP.  They typically won't take an email from the Ebay system, but you can at least tell them about it and that that email tried to change the address after shipment.  But make sure you inform PP of all of this as it can only help you.

while he was sending me dodgy ebay msgs with addresses i was logging and having it all emailed to me so i have all the chat logs with him thankfully so i will do that tomorrow for sure thanks!

i definitely will! i opened a message in the msg center with them and ill be calling them first thing tomorrow thanks for the help
