eBay, you need to stop treating your most loyal long-term sellers with such blatant disrespect. ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LISTED WITH THE SAME VIEWABILITY.
If items must be "promoted" by forcing sellers to give up what little profit margin they may have left in this runaway inflationary economy, you will soon have no sellers left except your favored fraudsters, cheats, scammers, drop shippers, etc.

So, you're in favor either of giving eBay another huge chunk of YOUR profits for every sale, or having your account shadow banned.
More power to ya, brother.

With over thirty million sellers worldwide, and thousands more joining every week, and 1.5 billion listings..that will never happen..

I case you didn’t realize manufacturers pay slotting fees to grocery stores for better visibility of their products. This is the reason the big brands like Coke, Pepsi, Cheerios, Doritos, Cheetos, and etc. are displayed more prominently. They can afford to pay the slotting fees while many smaller brands cannot afford it. I equate promoted listing fees to slotting fees.
Slotting fees are not illegal. Some would say it is not fair. Another example is retail space. Rent for space on a busy street corner is a lot more because of better visibility.

Fifteen years ago, all sellers had EQUAL visibility, and ALL of our items were visible given the appropriate search.
You may think these changes are just fine, but (even given advanced notice--which doesn't always happen, and about which we couldn't do anything anyway...except give up our account and all the time, effort, sweat and tears...) there can be no question that this practice, which amounts to a FORCED doubling of eBay fees, is anything but fair or egalitarian.

Quick Google search....
The bottom line is that eBay's core marketplace continues to shrink, resulting in a loss of 15 million active buyers over a twelve-month period.Nov 3, 2022

You are presenting a false dilemma by pretending that this is an either / or situation.
There are plenty of sellers like me who have never promoted an item and whose sales are consistent with what they were before promoted listings even existed.
You are free to believe that every seller who does not promote gets "shadow banned" , but I see direct evidence that this is simply not the case.

Thanks for the post confirming that a large percentage of my items aren't even viewable when intentionally visiting my listings.
THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKINAG ABOUT, PEOPLE.
I see all 115 listings. You have some really striking pieces.

That's a problem on your end dude; not ebay. Not a single one of your listings says the price to ship to Canada which likely means you have the country excluded or haven't specified the shipping cost. If I click on other peoples listings I can see the shipping cost and all the items.

I used to ship to foreign destinations until eBay started re-selling them AFTER I sold them, got them from customs, and used my photos to resell them under one bogus account that pretends not to be a division of eBay. I will not be a party to crap like that.

Thanks.
Maybe rockstars get preferred results visibility too. Just a guess...lol.

Correct. But that has nothing to do with "shadow banning" or the fact that plenty of sellers are doing just fine without promoting their listings.

If hundreds of you insist that my items are not visible because I am not promoting them, then hundreds of you are free to insist on be wrong.

Put whatever label you want on it, but it is still wrong, not egalitarian, and a form of restraint of trade.
