Hi peeps,
I have been sending out items (trading cards) the old fashioned way using a stamp, and handwriting the address. I prefer this because it means no printer ink cost, less hassle, and it just feels right. I see I have been dinged on my seller performance due to failing to upload tracking. How can we manage the listing to say it doesn't include tracking so my rating wont be negatively impacted for it? Or is there a way to write a number on the envelope that would be scanned by Post Office when it runs through the machine?

Not a perfect solution, but some are happy with it:
ebay standard envelope : https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/ebay-standard-envelope.html

The new 'ebay standard envelope' as mentioned, can be used and uses tracking. Problem is, most post offices don't recognize it, don't scan it so you are still in the same boat.
You can purchase 1st Class "Package" shipping instead of 'letter', which runs about $3.50 and would include tracking- but you will HAVE to print the label using a printer as you cannot just 'write' a tracking number on a package; it won't be used.

eBay standard envelope works excellently. Tracking is really only important if it gets scanned at delivery and every one of the several hundred I have shipped has been. If you want to keep your rating up without excessive shipping costs I recommend you use it. It won't help your just feels right issue, whatever that means.

Thanks, but that is what I have been marking my listings with "ebay standard envelope"
The thing is that requires printing a label which is what I was wanting to avoid. For packages I opt for the "scannable QR code" option and the fine folks at the P.O. print the label.

You can buy a user thermal label printer here on eBay. Thermal label printers require no ink. The post office also uses thermal printers for their labels.
You can find a used Zebra brand printer for $50 to $100.
Another option to avoid labels and hand writing on envelopes which take time is to print the shipping label directly on the envelope. I have used size A2 envelopes for shipping trading cards which you can buy a box of 1000 for about $50.00 or 500 for $35.00.

I need a shipping service that will also find my inventory for me and manage my listings. Because I want to avoid to paying for gas for my car or electricity to run my computer.
