Anyone know how to add variations to an old listing that was created without variations?? I know that I can make a new listing with the needed variations but then I will loose my "quantity sold" history if I end my old listing. Thanks

It's not possible. Sorry @grasscarp. Once a listing is published:
Variations listings cannot be converted to non-variation listings.
Non-variation listings cannot be converted to variation listings.

I don't think you can do that @grasscarp
The option disappears once you list normally

What's even worse is having MV listings where you can't change anything because ebay changed categories and/or variation attributes allowed in that category.
But I'm going to have to do it soon as most have flat FCP shipping which is going up all the time. Can only eat so many rate increases.
And yes, lose sales history and sales velocity on those listings.
