Hey all,
For the most part I am a buyer on Ebay but I do list a few items here and there. I only have 3 listings right now and I am seeing a problem with the listings. I keep getting messages from Ebay saying the listings contain active content and I need to correct the problem. When I follow the link it shows that all three listings contain Javascript. I edit the listings and there is a warning just above the description field asking if I want help removing the active content. I click that link and the screen refreshes and the description looks exactly the same but no longer had the active content warning. Eventually it all happens again.
I am at a loss as to how this is happening. I have no clue how or why one would add JS to the description of items. I don't use any bulk listing tools since I only have a few items at any given time and add them one at a time. I create my listing on PC using Firefox browser.
Any suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info.

Your computer has LastPass installed and we have seen many cases of LastPass adding javascript to listings during the listing process or during revisions. While eBay should be able to rid your listings of the script when you relist or revise, it can become tedious if you decide to post more listings. I would recommend that you turn off LastPass while creating or editing eBay listings.
@coffeebean832 Thanks for finding the older cached version that shows the LastPass problem.
Looks like I'll have to have a little chat with LastPass support. I like the convenience of LastPass for managing usernames and passwords and opt for the paid version but at times the convenience becomes inconvenient. I'll disable it next time I'm listing or editing a listing and see how that goes.
Thanks for the help

Since you already revised the listings today it's hard to say without seeing how they looked before.
Next time you list use this tool to scan your listings-
http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentScanner.htm
Are you copying and pasting your text from somewhere else or typing it directly into the listing form? Copying and pasting from another location can bring in unwanted code.
Have you tried another using browser to rule out any issues stemming from your browser settings?
When you say- " I click that link and the screen refreshes and the description looks exactly the same but no longer had the active content warning. Eventually it all happens again."- does that mean it's happening to the same 3 listings over and over, or that it's happening when you create new listings?
@shipscriptmight have more advice for you?
Wait- I found the Hercules manual pre-edited version of the listing cached in google.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply.
The weird thing is after revising and updating the listing nothing looks any different. I don't copy/paste any of the info in the listing. I manually type everything in the listing form.
