I listed a makeup item, I had a person who just opened the account today send an offer for the amount of the starting bid. I countered and they accepted and paid right away. I've had this happen before, always brand new accounts ( opened the day they bid)with zero feedback. What is the scam? I cancelled the listing because I don't trust it.

Of course it is and that was the same thing I thought when I read the OP's post, they have been a member since 1998 and sold about 900 items. Yet they think a new member is trying to scam them just because they are a new member with 0 feedback.
So when I made that sale to a new member with 0 feedback, I just couldn't resist making that post.😂

I was just about to purchase some of those delicious candies you sell. Are they for display only?
Honestly, I don't think they're all that.
I just think people buy them for the "Hawaii" factor.
My best friend just came back from Hawaii. She had some pineapple and said it was the best tasting pineapple she ever had. I guess ripening in the tree vs. on a barge crossing the pacific makes a difference.
Maybe it’s the same with the locally made candy?

Pineapples don't grow on trees.

Pineapples are ground fruit grown in patches. Lots of kids I grew up with used to work at the Dole Pineapple farms for summer work and the cannery, which is no longer.

Didn't Larry Ellison buy the pineapple island?

Ask your friend if they ever ate any "road apples".
