Hello everyone 

Hope you all are doing good, Well yesterday I got an order and unfortunately the delivery is not possible on customer address so I cancel the order and refunded the amount to the buyer.  But the thing is customer add a bad review on my profile even though his amount is refunded to him and after that my account is under restriction.

Now I need you to please suggest me what's my fault in this situation when the delivery is not possible to buyer address and I already refunded the amount to buyer still my account is under restriction. I need you to please guide me through this situation. I selling on eBay since 2021 and sold more than 300 products to different clients but this one is the first case which I face that the delivery is not possible to buyer address.

If they were able to purchase then you must be offering shipping to their addresses.

 

I understand that you feel they were refunded that they should be okay with that.

 

However since they gave you that money that means whatever they purchased means more to them then the money.

 

Cancelling sales creates a bad buying experience and isn't good for the platform.

 

Perhaps you were justified as there were real issues with their addesss however you didn't give any specifics.

You need to contact Ebay and appeal the feedback. New rules are in place where negative and neutral feedback for cancellation can be removed. No transactions was made and you have an excuse anyway where the buyers address is not possible. May I ask why the address is not possible to deliver to? In addition the restriction part of it you would need to talk to Ebay as well. Just use the contact us button and then enter chat box and ask to speak to an agent where they will call you back.

Delivery is possible to every address.  If you disagree then please explain why it was not possible for that one.

If your account is under restriction, it is probably because you cancelled for the wrong reason. You should have cancelled for reason problem with address. If you cancelled for the wrong reason it can count against you and result in account under restriction. A negative review should not result in the account restriction.

 

While not common, I have had addresses I could not purchase postage because I got a message the address was incomplete. Sometimes this was a result of the buyer not entering the correct address. Other times, eBay allowed the customer to enter more information than the postal interface could accept. Address information was truncated. Sometimes I cancelled the order. Sometimes I changed the address to make it fit (risky as eBay may not protect me from claims for changing the address).

 

I would have contacted the buyer immediately. "Your address is giving an error when trying to purchase postage/ship your package. The order needed to be cancelled. You may repurchase with a correct  shipping address. If you feel the address provided is correct, please contact me immediately so this issue can be resolved ASAP. Thank you."

 

You can still try to send a similar message and ask for an email revision. You might see how your buyer reacts to your message before requesting the revision. You should also contact eBay and request the feedback be removed because the order has been cancelled before trying the feedback revision.

Cancellations and BBE's are the kiss of death for international sellers.  Especially those who drop ship and drop ship from Amazon.  Your feedback is very poor as is the service your provided for many of your customers.  Sorry.  That's not how eBay is supposed to work.  

 

My guess your selling days are finished here on eBay.  Best of luck in the future.
