Hello -
I opened our eBay store in the beginning of April. We have since sold a rough total of $1,600. Since this time we have received ONE payout of roughly $10 YES that’s right TEN dollars. The best part is what happened tonight. I requested an automatic payout of our available $148 and now I’m SO over eBay I could scream. I get a message saying “we are conducting a standard review for the month. Your funds will be available in 5 business days! This company is awful 1,000% awful. I’m going to close down everything on our store and take my goods somewhere else. What a RIP OFF and unethical company.
sincerely,
disappointed.

30 days is not 60 days. It’s simply frustrating to have the 148 dollars available then be updated to now 5 more days for reviews after requesting for the first time ever a payout. I don’t feel this is unreasonable? There is 1080 in my funds that can protect any buyer. I truly don’t feel this is asking much.

LOL - that’s just an uneducating response. Did you read my post? My goodness. Clearly you haven’t read the post.

I appreciate you kind words and I apologize for neutral. I truly wasn’t aware that neutral was not seen in a neutral light but more negative. If I can go back and remove my feedback I will find a way. I am learning so thank you for not coming at me ready to eat me alive. Has online communication become inhumane? We are all students at something in life? Ty again will attempt to remedy the feed back.

Great point!

Mercari has been the most equitable and seller friendly I have used. I’m successful m on that platform, but as you stated every entity has their own stipulations.

That’s ok. I’m happy to provide them ♥️

The time for delivery now states June 9th………. Is neutral not ok? I also did so because I’ve sent two messages to attempt to reach out to the seller and have not received one reply. 😞
You haven't received the item because it's still within the seller's handling time. YOU are the one that didn't read the listing and seller's policies carefully enough. The listing shows as having an extended handling time that you would have been aware of.
As for messages, while most sellers do respond to messages, they aren't obligated to do so. And it's possible that a seller from China may not know English well enough to answer your messages.
As long as the seller ships within their handling time (which since the ETA hasn't passed, it sounds like they will), you were premature in leaving feedback.
Next time, pick sellers who have short handling times.
But thank you for posting.

Until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 30 days if there's no tracking. They can hold the payment for the full 30 days if you're selling in a high risk category.
At this point you have sold only 17 items and have been registered since only April 13, or 39 days.
In addition, several of the items you have listed and sold are quite high value, which also makes the bots anxious.
Scamming is common on eBay and you should never list anything you can't afford to lose.

Fixed that for you.

Awe yes, again I will add I’ve had a store with eBay from 2006 to about 2020.
You can contact eBay customer support and draw their attention to that other account.
I started an account a few years back for reasons that escape me and when I asked for less restriction, it was granted immediately on the basis of my performance on my other accounts.

This is basically making interest off the things I’ve sold. Thank you for feedback but this isn’t my first rodeo and this cowgirl can smell manure from a mile away!"
I truly am sorry you are so unhappy with the way things are going for you. You came on this board seeking advice and I gave you mine but you responded that you are already experienced at selling on eBay and that my post was basically **bleep** One thing you failed to mention until post #14 is that you are already experienced at selling on eBay. Initially leaving out info like that does make somewhat of a difference in how posters might respond but it still doesn't change the fact that you haven't sold for four or five years so in the eyes of eBay, you are a new seller and are subject to rules for new sellers.
I wish you well with your future endeavors.

I don’t want special treatment. I was merely voicing the feeling that 60 days plus now and holding all but 10 of our profit is a bit extreme. I only requested our available funds of 148 last night but a red message came up saying you’ll need to wait another 5 business days. Why is it special treatment to request less than 10% of what’s being held for “Risk”? I was merely voicing my feeling that it’s a bit excessive. That’s all.

Please elaborate as to what is to be experienced once the whole iceberg has been made visible?

Ty for your feedback. I didn’t know neutral was a negative. Also not a big deal but Google translate can translate any message we receive in any language to the language of your understanding. It also can then take your English response (for example) and translate into Chinese, in this case. Just a helpful tip ;).

Awe this makes sense and I can afford to wait. I truly just needed some reasonable explanation for holding the available amount which is 10% or less than the held amount. That’s all.

You're welcome. It's something we all learn along the way. There's no way for you to change it. The seller would have to send you a feedback revision request, but they too have an expiration date. As a seller, you will learn that you can only leave positives for buyers on here and you may be the recipient of negs and neuts, which you can request revisions on or, if you don't hear back from the customer, respond to. You can also leave additional comments on feeback already left. Neuts do not affect your feedback score but negs do so if you stick around consider that whether you buy or sell.
As I said, good luck to you!
