Just wondering if anyone Else are having Slow Sales Right Now? I sell Used Household Type Items!

Hi Ken!
Yes, it is slow. The interest rate news today was not good and you add that to war, double digit inflation, gas prices, food prices.....disposable income(s) only go so far.
Shoppers prioritizing needs vs wants. I know my family is.
Hang in there, keep listing!! All the best!

I'm with you, @kensthisandthat.

It is definitely slow; the slowest I have seen it in the 10 years I have been selling on ebay. I'm running sales, sending offers, listing almost everyday to try to bump the sales up and very little sales from it. I will have a good day with sales and then go days without sales. Sales are slow everywhere though, not just ebay.

I picked up some.... So I don't know. I don't sell household-type items though. Maybe now is a good time for you to try listing a few items in a different category? Might be fun to see if they sell immediately, or if that stagnation follows you to other categories??

I had no sales for a day. Usually have at least five. A buyer told me the add to cart button wasn't working.

I'm selling at least 10 a day via auctions and BIN but in the stamps category. Maybe your in a stale category no one is looking for those items. Try and research some collectible categories these have buyers that never seem to be low on money to spend.

Slow for sure. eBay stock down 6% with the weak guidance after the market is closed.

Not trying to be rude by any means...but you always have to consider maybe nobody wants what you are selling...At the same time like others have said, state of the economy/rising inflation/cost of living could be playing a part as well. We have 3 different seller accounts and 2 of the 3 are currently doing well. The 3rd not so much simply because items on that account are predominantly seasonal clothing that is out of season...so no surprises there.

I don't sell household type items, but I can tell that shipping is also hard for you. Just looking at one Item you had for a used blender, I did a quick check at my Fred Meyer store and found a new one for $25 or $30. Yours was $10 plus the shipping and taxes making it about the same price. Buyers have to be very careful right now and I've tried to only list things I know can sell. Just look over your inventory and try to look at your shipping costs and maybe reduce it if you can or consider removing the items for now so they are not so stale. Good luck.

Despite being small, I usually have steady sales almost no matter what, but it has been slow on all five of my sites. Worldwide inflation and supply chain issues do have an eventual eroding effect. I see people spending money off line (RL purchasing is strong) which goes along with budgeting, people going back to work and things opening up, and being tired of being online, anyway. I'm spending my money on travel and race entry fees, for example, NOT stuff online unless I really need it. If sales were better, I'd spend more online, but it's only real world shopping for me at this point and getting out and about. I suspect I'm not alone in this by any means (at least from what I see being out and about).
So I'm just staying the course and doing some tinkering. I suspect a lot of stuff is just never going to sell because people's tastes change.

Overall slow for sales here.

My sales have dropped by about half over the past three months or so. I'm not surprised as I sell wants and not needs to people who have extra money to spend. When that money isn't there, they don't spend.
I haven't bought an item that wasn't an actual flat out necessity in well over a year now, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Other than inventory and b-day/Christmas gifts, I am right there with ya. Bought for others, but not for myself. My day to day shoes look woeful. lol
