Here is a perfect example of why you should not worry about your listing(s) getting zero views. Anything I have listed that has zero views is, of course, going unsold & void of offers. However, I have 1 listing that started with 3 views & 3 watchers. Now it is up to 8 views & 4 watchers. No sale & not a single offer. If it is not sold, the outcome is the same. $0.00 in your pocket. eBay is becoming a great site for window shoppers. Good luck to all. 🙂

That's why I don't pay much attention to views and watchers.
Views and watchers don't pay any bills.

Becoming?
eBay has always been a great site for window shoppers.
It is always been on the list of sites I search when looking for the best price for something.

What are you even trying to say here?
Any platform or place of business is a place for window shoppers.
Spend more time worrying about sourcing good desirable items that sell quickly for a margin that you're comfortable with. If the stuff your listing isn't getting the amount of views that you want and/or not converting then those items are desirable enough or sell to slowly.

Once a week I go to every item that has Best Offers Eligible and send out, even if it's just a buck or two. That usually spurs some sales.
I guess it just depends on how much you have into the item but I'd recommend that if you just want to spur some more sales.

There have been window shoppers for hundreds of years. Just because someone looks that does not mean they will buy. The good news for you is if you are getting that many views without a sale that means buyers do not want to pay your asking price. You can adjust until someone IS willing to buy at the correct price.

I would advise that you send offers as soon as possible once you receive them. They may not always result in a sale but waiting a week to do so with almost guarantee that the potential buyer has already moved on to someone else.

Lots of what you and I sell is OLD.
A large portion of the population has no interest in anything older than they are.
A tiny portion of the population cares about most of our collectible items.
In my experience Ebay draws more of the people who care than any other marketplace, its listings are more likely to bring in viewers from the search engines.
Sellers like us need lots of items and see a slow sell through rate, but we also have great margins. We also project our own tastes and biases in what we choose to list - which may or may not be shared by Ebay buyers.
In 2008, the situation was different, and another marketplace did better for me, but today Ebay is the best, even with low numbers of views.
As for watchers, many of my watchers are looking as market research, others are looking for what is the best deal they can get with limited funds, and others have listings of the same or similar items for sale. And a few are looking for desperate sellers and send insulting offers whether we have Best Offer enabled or not.
Sending offers is yielding fewer sales than a few months ago.

I also noticed the more watchers the more ridiculous the asking price is. Most just are curious to see if the item ever actually sells. Just type any item and switch to highest first. The top 3 usually have tons of watchers but sit for years.

Your items look overpriced. I looked at a few and notice sponsor items on your item site are cheaper. You have to compete with competitors which do show up on your page site.

That could be part of the problem to.
Buyers are getting used to sellers sending out offers all the time, so why pay list price, wait until they send an offer.

But views do pay your bills...
You can't have a sale without a view, you can't pay your bills without a sale.

And occasionally we see a puzzled post noting that an item sold with no Views at all.
Which to me means that Views are not counted immediately, and if there is a sale, not counted at all.
Anyway as others have said, Viewers are people who did not buy.

You should pay attention to views, you need a volume of traffic to make sales, any seasoned marketer will tell you that. No traffic = No sales. People cannot buy things they don't know exist.

It is pretty funny that I knew you would comment & that is what you would mention - prices are too high! 😛 At least you are consistent. lol My price is lower than what the item sold for, in auction, on a different site & it is more than 2x lower than my only competition.
