Did you mean:

98.5 % of postal workers get to keep their jobs.

Getting tired of all the chicken littles clucking about 10,000 workers being laid off - out of a work force of 663,000 workers. That is 1.5% of the work force. And for that little number you're clutching your pearls? Seriously?

Couple that with all the complaints about sales being down. Well if we are shipping less then they don't need as many workers in the first place.

You can do all the name calling that you want, Chicken Little, Cuckoobird, doesn't affect me at all, it's just weak, & I can brush it off with ease!, I am also an Independent & I feel way more Independent than being trapped with other's lies & believing them, You don't even know the real reason egg prices have started coming down, it was not anything to do with the current administration nothing at all!

No one is ever happy about losing a job.......and probably few would admit that there was a good reason for either terminating them personally or eliminating the position.

LOL you're also not reading what I'm writing.  Your rants are cuckoobird, you may be perfectly rational and just parroting talking points.  I have no idea.  The Chicken Little comments also have nothing to do with you personally, but way to make it all about yourself.

Do you realize you still haven't provided even one concrete example to support any of the things you're saying?  Believe what you like, but don't go telling me I'm the one who won't change my mind.

Rant on brother, I'll keep waiting.

Go ahead and take cover then.

Myself I've never been the sort to freak out over a little rain (an anology to what I percieve this to be). I don't run and take cover, I just get a little wet (another anology) and dry out in time.

Just because it's raining a little doesn't mean a tornado is about to touch down......................

The previous 4 years was a cold hard slap to many as revealed by the recent election results. Alot of folks did wake up and smell the coffee.

You are the one who is actually ranting., But here is something for you to mull over, Trump has spent a fortune of tax payer dollars on remodeling the oval office with Gold medallions, Gold vermeil figurines, Gold eagles & Gilded rococo mirrors, & now he wants to remodel the rose garden, Tax dollars well spent Right??, That's someone who is really looking out for the American people, Right??, Disgusting is what it is!, You have so many bird references, Here's one for you, quit being a Flamingo & get your head out of the sand.

Re: 98.5 % of postal workers get to keep their jobs.

I'm ranting? About what?  Please provide the receipts which show that the current president has used tax payer money to do the things you're saying he's done.   I'll be just as appalled as you seem to be if you're telling the truth.

Flamingos don't put their heads in the sand, ostriches do (to protect their eggs).   Maybe it's time to turn off the TV and do a little research.  You could start with birds. 🐥

Once a year I have to do a detailed evaluation of my job & job performance. Justify my employment basically. This is reviewed by my manager, who does a similar evaluation on me. Then, every three months, I get another, slightly less detailed review. I also have to set 2 or 3 goals for the coming year, & describe in detail how I will accomplish them. This is reviewed every three months. Welcome to the real world.

So in the real world, your work performance is reviewed by your manager - a person that you report to, and who works for your company, and who presumably understands your company and your industry? That sounds like common sense and seems perfectly reasonable.

In my fortune 1000 company, if I got an email from an email address I did not recognize telling me I needed to urgently describe my job or risk being fired, I would report it to our internet security team as a suspected "phishing attempt".

"Just saying something over and over doesn't make it so."

Maybe the illusory truth effect is at play.

"Psychologists and researchers have studied the phenomenon where repeated exposure to false information can lead individuals to believe it's true."

It seems as if alot of people believe what they want to hear even if it doesn't at first make sense. They are told the sky is fallig over and over and start believing it.

The reason the price of eggs came down is (1) people stopped buying them so demand dropped, and (2) easing of the bird flu.

But it was never really about the price of eggs.

Thanks for the clarification on that. I am reading on the interweb how it was Trump fulfilling a campaign promise with the reduction in the cost of eggs like perhaps he was breeding the chickens or had imported thousands and thousands of chickens paid for with his own money and had donated them to the chicken places or perhaps had single handedly eliminated the bird flu that caused the issue. Maybe injected them with clorox or something.
