Character matters to me.
I want my President to be someone of high character, not a convicted felon.
How do Trump supporters ignore all of the absolutely stupid things he's said and done?
I'll never understand it.
Well, we don't always get what we want.
Sometimes we get what we need.
Hey ... THAT could be a song.
Back in the 1800's, when the application of law was spotty in some places, a town would hire a Sheriff, or Marshall ... who was an outlaw. Yea, they gave an outlaw a badge.
City council would see nightly murders, open prostitution, drug use ... they'd hire a real cop and he would last about ... an hour. He'd either be dead, or ran out of town.
So, they hired criminals. They hired the baddest bad-ass they could afford and turned him loose. And they'd pay them very well to 'clean up the town'. And they did. Men like Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Pat Garatt, Bill Hickock. These guys were outlaws, and they knew how to deal with outlaws. You kill them.
Now, usually immediately after the town gets cleaned up the outlaw/lawman was pushed out and the Sheriffs office was turned over to a 'civilized lawman' who locked up drunks, settled card game disputes, kept the working girls clean, and didn't offend the sensibilities of the city council's wives.
What we got right now is ... more like Pat Garrett than anyone else. Interesting life. He started out a lawman, became a crook, then went back to lawman. LoL.
Right now, we have JUST the man we need, JUST in time.
Hold your nose and wish OUR bad-ass some luck, draining swamps is a nasty and dangerous job.

A tariff is a type of tax. Also a tax can be avoided by not buying those goods or paying taxes. I realize it's confusing for you but just take ur meds.

Your juxtaposition of 21st century America (a nation that is governed in accordance with a body of law and precedent) with the Wild West is, well, laughable… and I’m being charitable.
Even though your prescription medications may now be imperiled because of the president’s valiant efforts to “drain the swamp” (your words), you are certainly free to say that Mr. Trump may be the right person for *you*… but please don’t presume to speak for the rest of us.

Great video of him yesterday in the oval office bragging about how much money his friends made off this tariff debacle in the market.

Such a wasteful government program.
I bet Trump's wasteful golf trips could pay for it.

Somewhere around 12-16 million so far in taxpayers money spent for his golfing.

It's nearing 30 million. And yes, the hypocrisy would be stunning if it wasn't so absurd.
