Put up with undocumented  fraud and abuse (because the car salesmen says it exists) or put up with the fraud and abuse while "due process" is removed from the US.  How much did it cost to have a "car sale" on the White House lawn?  Sounds like some wasteful spending might have been going on...LOL.

A "tax" in the way the left has been abusing the term is compulsory, you don't have a choice.  A tariff, by contrast, can be avoided by simply not buying the tariffed good (again, reference the Levi's in Cambodia or Ford Mustangs in the UK).  There is nothing compulsory involved in tariffed goods.  You just don't buy them if you don't want to pay that "tax".  If anything, a tariff is like an excise tax.  You have the choice to buy booze or cigarettes.  If you don't want to pay that tax, you don't buy those goods.  Unlike income tax, or other compulsory taxes (TRUE taxes), you don't go to jail if you don't pay these.  You just don't buy the goods, which is exactly what other countries have done.

The VA does have ways of helping and should be able to help your brother out. Message me with the name of the VA program cut and the facility your brother is in, and I will forward it to a person in the VA. The VA can be difficult to navigate (like the DMV) and any help i can do for you would not be a problem. I recently spoke to some in the VA. and was told that stuff like this would not happen and would be quickly rectified if so.

The Federal budget is divided into 5 sections,   Social Security,     Medicare and Medicaid,   Defense ,  Interest  and everything else.      The everything else,  welfare ,    government agencies ,    grants ,    janitors,   all this stuff DOGE is cutting into.      

It is 11.4  %  of out total budget.   Peanuts.

Unless you are will to cut  Social Security and Defense and Medicaid,  all this cuts won't add up to a hill of beans.

Hate to tell you, but they ARE cutting jobs at SS and those staff cuts will affect access to various functions. They've already cut access to doing a lot of stuff by phone.

Those SS cuts are paid for out of  the discretionary funds,   not the SS trust fund.

It's not the "what", it's the "how" - sloppy, ill-informed, performative nonsense by DOGE has blown their mission. Instead of undertaking intelligent analysis of how these departments actually work and then doing the pruning, it's being done in a sloppy, slash and burn method which has only cause chaos.
