Called eBay and tried to explain the problem, but could not make her understand the problem, so I asked to talked to a supervisor.  The supervisor was only a little more helpful, but said he would pass it on to the technical people.

To make him understand, I told him this was like dragging a screaming passenger out of a plane as far as eBay sellers are concerned.  That it's like being screwed by eBay and it's not the sort of publicity that is good for eBay.

That, if the promotion is not really working, a seller would not know until they had used up the whole 50 and that it made no sense.

Maybe a lot of emails to EcommerceBytes would get their attention.  They don't seem to listen to their sellers much.

I also have a secondary non-store account and used to use it for auctions. I got tired of toggling between two accounts though.  The hassle is not worth saving 15 cents for auctions.

Yes, toggling can be a hassle.  I use it for things that I don't think are that nice and might be a tough sell and I don't want them to suck up my store allotments.  I only have 12 things listed there -- mostly bins, a couple of auctions.

The CS rep tried to tell me  that the 500 item special only went to store owners.  However, I don't believe that there are Auctions in a store.

When you listed, did they come off the 500 or the 50?

I called them today too and once they explained the new policy of the "extra" free listings only being available after your free monthly alotment (this is only May 2nd) , I asked why they even bothered offering something that couldn't be used.  Useless.

It CAN be used. After you use your 50 allotment, then list all you want up to the amount of the promo.

How do you know?  What if it's not actually activated?  That you don't have an additional 100?   You won't know until AFTER you use up the 50 and find out you are really done because it is another on the many thousands of eBay glitches.  Another small technical issue.

This, like everything else from the current MIS-management was poorly conceived.  Another of the "Let's see how many seller we can mess with today" promotions.  Shoes anyone?

It does not include re-lists. I called Ebay because it was coming off my free listings also.

Well I should clarify. Ebay told me it does not include re-lists. I couldn't find that anywhere in the promo which is why I came here. Sounds like she was wrong. I also tried using the "sell-similiar" option and that came off the free 50 also. So I'm thinking shes wrong. {shocker}

Has anyone actually used up their 50 fee listings and continued listing FP and have the promo work?
