1099k Mismatch with real numbers. Request for correction sent 02/02 through CS. Was promised that form will be re checked by 02/14. Nothing. Contacted CS again 02/15, at this time they asked to wait 3 more business days. Today is 02/19 and still nothing. Want to be done with taxes. But eBay makes problem with taxes for thousands of sellers. May be someone from eBay will do, what they should?!

Really ? It's how eBay worries about their Top Sellers?! Everything from forum, conversations with CS will be send to IRS for Investigation. Because I did everything to resolve it.

Are they off a large amount from your records? Are you possibly counting sales at the end of the year that hadn't shown up yet in your payouts? I believe ebay is reporting numbers when they payout rather than by the sold date. Also sales tax isn't included if collected by ebay.

Hmm what do you think it should say??
How are you getting "Real" numbers??
02-19-2022 10:14 AM
Sales records, Reports, Payouts, Statements.
02-19-2022 10:16 AM
No. Amount larger that it should be
02-19-2022 10:18 AM
1099 will NOT match any of those things (reports) since the 1099 only uses the DATE OF ACTUAL PAYOUT.
So, transaction for $500 on Dec 29th 2020, the PAYOUT will occur on Jan 2 2021 and therefore THAT sales amount will show on THIS YEARS 1099.

I know it. Not a First year on eBay )

Are you including the shipping costs as well as the item selling price?
The 1099K will show all the money that was processed through Adyen.
02-19-2022 10:25 AM
Hmm 1099 is a gross>
So total of money received for item and shipping (if any): minus sales tax, possibly plus any credits eBay gave you.

Of course. Everything included in 1099k, except taxes. But amount of transactions as well more than it should be.

Do you have more than one account you sell on??

No. And everything was right for 1099K 2020 with the same calculation method.

That does make your experience to be a problem. Can not give you any advice on what to do:
Keep trying to get ebay to respond. Hope you can get an answer for such..

If we will calculate by Payouts, differences more than 30% more that is should be. But it's not right. Payout to your bank is already without fees, refunds, shippings, etc. So you must calculate total of your sales (Before any deductions) . Not a payouts. Anyway, by any method of calculation amount is more on 15%. But previous year and form 1099k was absolutely right. Problem on eBay side. As many sellers already know about it.

So sorry to hear you're still waiting @quickstorevegas you'll need to keep working with the payments team to get updates. Unfortunately I can't help with that here. I'm hopeful you'll get it sooner than later!
