I noticed an item I sold in February is showing it hasn't been delivered.    I checked with USPS and it was delivered.  Apparently, I entered the wrong tracking number on Ebay.  I'd like to correct the number so that it shows item was delivered.  Can I do that?   And how? ... View more

A friend of mine has an account and had to cancel 20 items after forgetting to remove the listing. What happens to the account? Currently they can not list anything and had 23 listing mark as unsold randomly. They have been also told ebay will take a larger cut from the profit and have larger fees charge to them as well as have their sell status be very low. Can anyone tell me what is happening?  ... Hi, I'm a new seller here on eBay and just received a question from a buyer.  He bought a product, I packaged it over and above what anyone else doing what I do. He sent pictures of the damaged package with a generic USPS "We Care" letter. The buyer signed for the damaged package, opened it up and said 1 of the 3 packs of cards was "missing." Well the way I package everything thats not really possible, unless someone delibertly unsealed the outer packaging I sealed all three together in, then left the other two.... confusing the way I said that. Question is.... how do I handle this? It's not a cheap item I can just replace, and the insurance doesn't cover the value, and I really need this business to work to support my kids and I.   So seasoned eBay sellers PLEASE share your wisdom. So eBay forced me into managed payment, where unregistered I used my debit card and online banking app, eBay claims they sent my payout Feb 9. And yet we are May 1st and I still haven't received anything... When talking to eBay they claim my bank information was entered incorrect and the money is LOST so basically they are giving me the BIG FU... When I asked eBay to provide proof the bank information was incorrect they can't prove it. And they refuse to let me contact the managed payment department to have this escalated.   PayPal has a bank account verification process where they send a small amount of money to your Bank account and you need to confirm that deposit before any money is sent out... Why hasn't eBay protected it's customers?   I'm out $244 dollars thanks to eBay's poor money management skills.  ... View more

Has anyone else noticed that when you end a listing that you can't just pull it up under sold items?  In other words, I end and relist items just about every day.  I then edit the listings, change the titles, freshen them up etc., and then relist them.  I've recently noticed that the tool to find the most recent ended listings doesn't exist anymore.  There isn't a tool that will tell you how many listings you ended personally on that day, or yesterday, or a week ago.  Is eBay trying to do away with our ability to end, sell similar, and relist same items????  With the good-until-cancelled option now, most of us  I hope are aware that your listings generally won't show up in the category unless you browse all of the listings....generally, these good-until-cancelled listings end up on the last page of the category where buyers could not possibly find them...so I feel compelled to constantly end and relist my items all the time.  Is eBay phasing this ability out for us?   I went to the help page today just to find out what it says about revising, etc., and came across something extremely odd under the help page for creating listings.  It states that you cannot change a fixed priced item to auction-style.  What's with that?  Then the sentence that follows says that you should start a new listing as opposed to using a similar listing.  My God, if I have to start doing that with all of my listings, I would have zero time to do anything else in my life.  I would hate to be a new seller right now and find out that I had to create a new listing every time I wanted to sell something.  Or that I couldn't convert my fixed priced items to auction-style.   Can anyone imagine this?  What's the point in having templates if a seller had to create a new listing every time?  Is eBay going to phase this ability out too?   Honestly, did I miss something as far as the announcements are concerned? ... The only way I can see they even exist is to go to the Manage Ended Listings part where they are jumbled in with everything I have recently put up for auction whether its sold, relisted, unsold etc. Someone in the dev team thought this was a good idea? Any ideas how I make this less a dysfunctional UI? ... View more

An item shipped via UPS using label purchased from eBay arrived at my buyers address completely smashed. The box looked like it had been stomped on.  I took photos into my UPS Store where I dropped the item off and they said I have to file a claim through eBay. There is ZERO information on how to do this available.  meanwhile I am trying to give the buyer a full refund including shipping. I’ve gone through the steps multiple times and the refund will not go through.  Sending the refund directly from PayPal won’t clear the return/refund request. I will try and keep this as brief and clear as possible. I contacted ebay, which answered my GSP/VAT questions but they referred me to Pitney Bowes for this question (with no luck there yet).  There are a few questions actually.   Q1) I'm a US seller and had a buyer in the UK, (which was not my first this year btw).  I had the item dropship from a US based company. If ebay collected the VAT fee, through GSP, and paid it for me and I sent an ebay generated shipping label to the dropshiper to use, who is the "exporter on record?"   Someone must have recently learned about VAT and a lightbulb went off in their heads or something. They refused to ship it claiming that they would be the EOR. I told them that they are not as the fee was collected at pos by ebay and paid by them. I'm the seller and my address is on the label. Ebay paid the VAT on behalf of me. Their only responsibility is to slap my label on it and ship it. They wouldn't.   Q2) If I was not part of the GSP, sold to someone in the UK, using a dropshipper who created a shipping label for me using my return address, who is the exporter on record?   Q3) VAT is supposed to be collected at the pos. So ebay collected at pos for me from the buyer. Should the dropshipper charge me an additional VAT tax when I purchase from them, or does that not apply because we are both US based. Every time I research the answer to why my international sales disappears after getting bullied into managed sales by eBay. I see articles from 2018 to 2019 but cannot see a resolution to the problem or any newer articles written. I say bullied because that is 100% what eBay did. The blocked my account July 2019. EBay is not only a bully but still allowed greed to take final value fees on everything left listed. I could not make any changes to my listings or list any new item. Ebay penalized my seller ratings for cancelling sales I should have been able to change as a seller before the sale happened. Here I thought bullying wasn't allowed in the US. I called eBay's customer service who has no idea apparently how eBay works. Not one of them knows why insertions fees show up when you have been blocked from inserting on eBay. Every month I get to see credits used up on more insertion fees and special listings like bold writing that add up to more than items sell. I would not and have not added bold text to add up to $59 for an item that sold for $24. EBay's managers answer was you need to sell at $70. Management wants me to sell items worth $24 at $70. Why so my fees can be $300 in 4 years and still listed and still worth $24? Let's come back to that in a minute. The best was the rep waiting for the manger to get on the phone. Since they make catching all their fees almost impossible to follow now, I asked for explanation which no techs seem to be able to explain at eBay anymore. This poor tech had to sit on the phone with me and out of nervousness kept letting out thing my ears were enjoying. This tech just went on and on how eBay's having trouble with sellers complaining about the same things. Fees and sales dropping and charging more than items are selling for. As much as I wanted to say, you shouldn't be saying these things to a client I couldn't help it but enjoy hearing how the bully is struggling with angry clients. If anything, the bully made me learn everyway that take advantage of the very foundation that helped build who they are. I had 80% of my sales as very happy international clients. I haven't had one international sale in the 6 weeks I transferred to managed payments. Has anyone figured out if there is an answer to eBay controlling who you can sell to? After 10 hours of trying to get my account resolved and numerous techs who have no idea how eBay works. Why try and get answers when the source doesn't even have answers. I waited 2 hours with 4 different transfers to get a manager on the phone who seemed to be alone in his knowledge of eBays' greed. Going over his method of eBay fees in a very heated discussion I should pay 3 times more to advertise and sell om eBay than an item is worth. It is very limited to size and weight already, and now I have to worry about all the different way eBay can stick a fee in without me catching it before I realize I should have just sent eBay $200 and never deal with pictures and listings. I just bought some forever love stamps from eBay. They appear to be counterfeit. Buyers beware. The stamps are way to cheap for the post office to be behind them. The seller was shipping from a us address with good feedback. But what concerned me after the purchase in the seller details they showed to be from China. Also when I asked to return them the return label sent to me, the business did not exist and the seller did immediately issue a refund and cancel the transaction but then the post office returned them back to me not a valid address. And now the seller is saying they don't want them back! Really! $107.00 transaction. Fake return address! Also examples of the counterfeit ones are available online. So be careful,  I have never seen the post office give these kinds of discounts. They are fake if you look at them. Cut lines do not match, usps different then on real stamps and color off, you need a microscope to see the difference.  ... View more

All of my listings are showing shipping not specified when on a search result page but when clicked will show the properly selected shipping. In googling the problem I've seen that it can happen on recent listings until they're indexed but its happening on some of my listings that have been up 3+ weeks. How can I fix this? ... View more

I have over 900 unique listings in my store. I actively send out offers to potential buyers who are watching my listed items. When a buyer responds to one of my offers in a direct message to me asking what would I offer him if he bought a higher quantity of a particular item , I want to offer him a deeper discount than what I had offered him for just one item. Problem is I can't remember what I had offered him for the one item (I send out over a dozen offers to watchers every day) and there seems to be no way to find my history of offers made. Being able to easily access my offer history would help ensure I do not embarrass myself by offering such a customer a price equal to or higher than what I had already offered. Please advise. ...
