Per "We've updated our selling practices policy to reflect the importance and requirement of maintaining your shipping service promise. Provide a great customer experience by using the class of shipping service you promised in your listing and uploading tracking information. If you use a slower shipping service than the one you offered, your items may be delivered later than your customer expects."
Will I still be able to state STANDARD SHIPPING in my listings ? Thanks!

Thanks for your question.
You will still be able to state STANDARD SHIPPING in your listings. Since you are offering the STANDARD SHIPPING option, you are expected to use a tracked shipping service and provide valid tracking information for your shipments.

Will we be punished if we don't? Right now, as stated, changing the service level is NOT a valid reason for a SNAD. Is this changing?

I understand what this update is trying to do .. Stop sellers from shipping Parcel or Media Mail when promising Priority ... But I have a suggestion
Somewhere in the Listing flow ... Define what Standard, Economy and Expedited mean exactly. and give examples.
Some sellers, especially newbies, just don't KNOW.

So if, as sometimes happens, eBay slides in PM on what was supposed to be a 4oz FCP when the listing goes live am I STILL obligated to ship it Priority when it's obvious to ANYONE it was supposed to be FCP?
I wouldn't if I personally didn't add it. That's also why I have a 3 day handling time and instead of shipping next day like I usually did, I've been waiting until the end of the 3 days or 2 days and then ship since ebay is ignoring it and going by your history.

Thanks for your question. Ideally the shipping option you select in your listing flow should be reflected in your listing. You should edit your listing to reflect First Class Package and not Priority Mail if that is what you intended to offer in your listing. The buyer sees the shipping service options mentioned in the listing and his delivery expectations are set accordingly. Hence it is important to make sure that the shipping option you selected in the listing flow is exactly the one you want to offer your buyers.

Thanks for your comment. This is a good callout. Under our current listing flow, you can create a new shipping policy by selecting the shipping options categorised by shipping service tiers (like Standard, Economy, Expedited or One-Day).This informs the seller of the shipping options under each of the tiers and the expected delivery dates associated with each of these shipping options.

No I can't. Not if I happen not to notice it's been changed (and do NOT tell me eBay never changes our listings).
Having had this happen a few times (including titles & descriptions reverting when it goes live) I've learned to NEVER use a sell similar on a listing that has a different shipping service. (doesn't stop the other stuff though).

Y - you had to know that this was coming when they told us that changing the shipping service level didn't matter as long as it got there on time.
Remember - if they tell us something that actually helps us, it will always be rescinded in the next update.
