It is now 4 WEEKS since ebays gaffe re auto relist where by 700+ of my “auto relist until sold” items were not “auto relisted”. I have emailed on average twice a day to see see if their error has been fixed, at least 3 quarters of these emails have been completely IGNORED a few
have said they are looking into it and a couple have said they have “followed up” the messages on my account.! 2 PROMISED (1 "chat" and 1 email )to get back to me in 72hrs (max) to tell me it was fixed this is now TWO WEEKS ago and I have heard nothing!
I have been using ebay for 18 years and every item (well over 10,000) I have listed as auction in this time has been set to "auto relist until sold" yet numerous ebay reps say "the box was not ticked to auton relist" Like 700 after 18 years was MY mistake PLEASE!! I mean I evan have a screen shot (asked for by ebay way back when I started my complaint) showing under each of these 700 + items, now for 4 weeks ,ALL in my unsold folder however ALL stating underneath "relist until item sells" that last week ebay thought it prudent to remove presumably to TRY and cover up this huge error. I have no bought to sell, listed or relisted items in these 4 weeks it is costing me a fortune in sales (and ebay but they can afford such WAY better than I ) I have even had an ebay "rep" SAY there was never a message on ebay saying SOME of the auto relist options were being done away with "early 2022" but NOT "auto relist until sold" When I copied pasted that ebay message in my reply to ebay again I was just completely ignored. Is there anyone out there able to tell me firstly if this gaffe has now been fixed? Secondly where does one now find the "automatic rules " choices box and thirdly how to I bulk relist all these auction items that have now been in unsold box for a MONTH!?

I've had good luck and excellent responses dealing with eBay's live chat on eBay UK in the past. Before the pandemic, there was no live chat available on eBay USA, so I used it on eBay UK when I preferred that approach. I found them to be quite helpful and well informed.
However, in this situation, I doubt that the first-tier customer support will know much about this change because it's too new, and too obscure. Especially, if you are expecting that eBay will able to relist your items and get them active again for you, I really don't think that's likely to happen. I don't think they will have the authority, or want to take the risk of activating listings that are inactive for whatever reason. I think most sellers would prefer that eBay not do that, even if they went inactive because of an eBay issue.
In your case, you have said that only about 700 listings stopped relisting automatically, but that there are over 2000 listings in your unsold folder. That means that you will need to go through the unsold items, and figure out which ones should be reactivated by relisting them manually. I don't see how anyone at eBay would be able to figure out which ones should relisted. The seller needs to do that.

@lacemaker3 LOL I have no idea how I am meant to work out what is needing relisted and what not ! I guess If I get the 700 relisted that ebay stopped 4 weeks ago I should be back where I started. THen when I retire I can relist any items I have left. HOPING that the "duplicate listing" thing will come on play if I list something already listed!? Ebay hat passed me to 4 different folks all clueless false promises and 4 hours of my life I will never get back. Thanks again
Brian.

@binnes2 I want to add to what @lacemaker3 just posted and what I mentioned before ... if you have 2000 items in your Unsold file but really only 700 that are the actual listings then you can sort the Unsold file by date and most likely go to the bottom of the list and see duplicates of the top 700 items on the list. The Unsold files can also be customized (pic below) and maybe one or more of those settings would help you with creating a list of your items so you can delete those that are duplicates ...
Does this represent a lot of work? Yes it does ... but until the functionality for Auto Relisting is active then this is how you will have to deal with your listings.

@lacemaker3 Hi again , previously when you were listing an auction item(in UK at least ) at bottom of listing BEFORE you sent it "Live" , you were offered the option at bottom of page to select auto relist rules for your item . This has not been available for a couple of months now , however Normally I schedule items to list for auction and THERE there was the "edit" which allowed you THER to slect the auto rules you wished. Where are you getting access to auto relist option in the screen shot above? again I seem only to have access to this via my scheduled relists? thanks again.

Hi @binnes2! I wanted to check in with the UK team before replying to ensure the automatic relist feature works the same way as it does on the .com site...and I found that it does:
In essence, the auto-relist option the seller has been experiencing is still in the testing phase, and it is offered to newer sellers under certain criteria. Once a seller has listed a certain number of items, this functionality may disappear from the listing flows.
The option will appear for eligible sellers only, will only work if the item qualifies, and it may take up to 24 hours before the automatic relist actually occurs.

So this feature velvet@ebay is really sort of a BETA test program. So, is it possible with the OP's criteria (700 listings) that the feature has "disappeared" from their listing flow?
Additionally, when an account is selected for this particular feature is the Account Owner notified that the feature is part of a "test" program AND are they given any kind of guidelines as to when their account may lose the functionality based on the "criteria" some programmer has put in the test software?

Hi @mr_lincoln! I'm going to guess the OP hit whatever criteria they have in place and that's why they no longer see the relist option in their listing flow. As for what that criteria is, they don't share it with us. They just let us know what I included in my previous post.

I have over pass 4 days manually scheduled 400 of the 700 that didnt auto relist I will be less than impressed if I have just wasted another 4 days supposing these do not auto relist! Many thanks for your help.

what's an OP is that me? I have been ebaying for 18 years and always my auction items are set to "auto relist until item sells" it is NOT ME that has changed anything so unsure why I (and presumably 100s if not thousands of others) are being "punished" ie forced to manually relists (hundreds of items) the auto relists that DINT auto relist!?

@binnes2 The "OP" means Original Post or Original Poster so yes, that would be you. Apparently the Auto Relist until it sells feature is not a normal feature on eBay ... I sell a lot Auction style but have never seen it ... if it was there I missed and wouldn't use it anyway.
You may want to consider changing some of your listings to Fixed Price GTC (Good til cancelled). Unless those 700 items are unique, rare, etc. they may do just as well or better sold GTC instead of Auction style.
In other words, if you have 700 items this week and none sell Auction style then they may do better GTC. GTC will automatically Relist the same day each month that the listing is put up as an active listing.

@mr_lincoln Hi Mr L . I have used "auto relist until items sells" for the 18 years I have been using ebay. So it certainly is not new (at to the UK site .) Yes if they dont auto relisting the 400 that I have manually had to relist and ALL are set (via the scheduled items list) to "auto relist until sold . I BELIEVE from what I have read (supposing we could trust ebay to do as they say and not tell so many DEFINATE lies) that NOW auto relist until item sells will be FREE ie no further insertion/listing fee for 8 weeks then I guess you either pay again or relist Buy it now style. The AMIN advantage of auction listing compared to BUIY IT NOW is that every, 1, 3, 5, 7 or days days that you pick your item is in view again. With buy it now it is a 30 day cycle until it shows up in real time searches as in (newly listed etc) Thanks again Brian. ps stil NO ONE from ebay UK community has uttered a word in reply! pretty sickening with what I pay in fees annually to get absolutely NO help or clarification to this problem with over 60 emails sent about it and exactly NO further forwarded after ONE MONTH of flagging it up! with ebays PAID staff. thanks again for taking YOUR time to try help me (If you your into the Beatles (Pop group not cars!!) you can get 5% discount for being a "good guy! Best wishes
Brian.

My sincere thanks for that reply @binnes2 ... sorry you have gotten no support on the UK side there ... as to Beatles ... love their music! And I appreciate the offer! Some of my favorites:
Paperback writer
Back in the USSR
Get Back
I always preferred songs with a little more beat to them ...
