turbo lister imports from one user ID to another

I have been a TL user for about 12 years now.  I recently (a couple years ago) added a second user as I opened a personal Ebay account (as opposed to my business "store" that I have had for years).   Until recently, TL has been performing well, adding the listings to the correct Ebay account.  (Although the last couple of months has been charging my business PP account when I print the labels from my Ebay personal account).   Just this week, it has started actually adding the listings created in my personal TL user to my business Ebay store.  I am still receiving payment to my personal PP account, but it is sending the sold emails & actually listing the items in my business account!

When I went back to re-check my listings in TL, it shows that they are created in my personal account - not the business one!   It seems that my 2 separate accounts are being connected & I DON'T want them to be!    Any idea what is going on???  Any help would be appreciated!

Re: turbo lister imports from one user ID to another

@cjscupboard - Thank you for posting your Turbo Lister issue on this Community board thread. I'm sorr that your listings aren't upload to the right account from within Turbo Lister.

In my experiences. Account authorization or changes can cause this type of issue to occur.

The best way to resolve this issue is to set up a new user file to each of your user files in Turbo Lister and transfer the listings into the right account.

To prepare your files for transfer, please do the following:

1. In the Turbo Lister "Inventory" tab, highlight all items you want to transfer.
2. Click "File > Export Selected Items" and choose "Turbo Lister format (.tdb)."

***Note***

We recommend that you select to save the file temporarily on your desktop, so you can easily find it later.

3. Enter a name for the file and click "Save."

The file is now ready to be transferred to a new user file.

To create a new user file, please do the following:

1. In Turbo Lister, on the "File" menu, click "New," and then click "User File."
2. Select the "Set up a new Turbo Lister file" option and click "Next."
3. Enter the eBay account information for the new profile and follow the prompts.

To import your inventory into your new user file, follow the steps below:

1. Open the new User File.
2. On the "File" menu, click "Import Items," and then select the "From File" option.
3. Locate the .tdb file on your desktop and select it. **You will need to change the file type to .tdb so the file will show.**
4. Click the "Open" button to import your Turbo Lister information.

Once you get the listing imported into the new user file, please upload one listings to make sure that it's being uploaded to the correct account.

This should help set the correct authorization for your user files.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to respond to this post.

Sincerely,

Re: turbo lister imports from one user ID to another

Thanks, Mykal@Ebay.  I will try this.  One question, though.  I have tried exporting & then importing items to a new user id before (several months ago) & the pictures never imported with them.  That's really a pain.  I did everything as you instructed except did not change the file to tdb.  (not sure what that is).  Is that enough to cause the pictures to import or what do I need to ensure that they import as well?  Thanks!

Re: turbo lister imports from one user ID to another

@cjscupboard - Exporting as a Turbo Lister .tdb file will retain all listing information, this includes pictures. For any reason, you still don't see images attached to listings when you import in the .tdb file, the listing may have some corruption.

The .tdb file is Turbo Lister database cache file format. This file retains all information stored in the "Data" folder, which where the images of your listings are copied to.

Here are screenshot of changing the file type to .tdb:

Selecting that file type will help you see the .tdb file on the area where you exported the listings/files to.

I appreciate your continue cooperation on this. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
