The out-of-stock control has recently been extended to 6 months, which makes it pretty handy for seasonal sellers. However, those hidden items will still count against your monthly listing allocations.

Auctions can not use the out-of-stock feature. If ended, they could be relisted within 90 days.

One caveat when using the stock control, if you have only one item, and it is sold, you will need to manually end the listing (or let it expire after 6 months). I usually wait until the item is delivered and the sale looks solid before ending the listing, in case I have a return and need to resurrect the listing.

@mikentx98,

You need to enable the "Out of stock" option, then you need to revise the listing and change the quantity available to zero. An out-of-stock listing with quantity zero, will stay active for up to 3 months, but it's not shown in search results and it can't be purchased. If it stays at quantity=0 for more than 90 days (I think), then it will be ended. But during that time, if you want it to be available for sale again, then you just revise it again and reset the quantity available to the correct number.

Either end the listings or turn on the out of stock option and set the quantity to zero.

Have a great day.

How do you put the out of stock option on? Where do you go on the site to do this?
