can not pay with Paypal within ebay ipad app

The ebay ipad is awesome but there seems be some problem with payment. After login to paypal it shows error to pay and I have to return to my PC to pay it.

EBAY I PAD APP IS BEYOND LACKING.

YOU CANNOT SEND AN INVOICE WITH THE IPAD APP.

YOU CANNOT GET ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

WENT TO LIST A SHIRT ON IPAD APP & WENT TO PUBLISH LISTING & COMES UP LISTING ERROR" YOU MUST CHOOSE AN ITEM CONDITION'.

WOULD BE HAPPY TO BUT THERE IS NO BOX FOR THAT & EBAY PHONE 1-800# CANNOT FIX.

JUST WASTED 45 MINUTES TAKING PICTURES,LISTING AND ANOTHER 15 ON PHONE & NO LISTING NO SOLUTION.

CANNOT TRANSFER MONEY ON IPAD PP WHEN ITEM IS PAID.

WHOEVER CREATED THIS APP HAS NEVER SOLD ON EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, mini_me_10541! I tried your suggestion and can confirm linking the mobile to PayPal and making a PIN worked.
PayPal support was rubbish and I was presented with the usual basic 1st level support questions, instead of them reading what I wrote in my email to them!

I had the same problem checking on PayPal where they are asking for a pin for several months now and didn't know how to correct it.  I read your post and went to my settings on PayPal and added a pin for my security.  I then went to attempt to pay for my item and added my newly numeric pin to my password.  It didn't work so I clicked on the tab which is hooked up to my phone, entered my numeric pin and IT WORKED SUCCESSFULLY!!!  Thank you soooo very much!!!!

I have the same problem with my iphone 5 ebay app. When I'm trying to pay via mobile app, when I enter the paypal pass, it brings an error saying that I have to go to full website to complete the purchase. How can we fix this problem???

And I now too am having this issue on an Android device.

Worked fine a few days ago and now I can't pay for anything even if I go to the ebay site on the browser. Ebay mobile app won't allow me to pay and can't pay through going to Ebay through a web browser on my phone either.

What a joke.

And no answers for it either.

Uninstalled and reinstalled app twice and still nothing.

I have quit using the app as it is too buggy too often, I almost got a strike on my last purchase, I did not have to option to just go to a computer to complete the purchase. I wrote my seller and paid but I paid late, I like to pay immediately. 

I am not happy with some of the other apps on my phone it is not just the ebay and paypal apps. I have an iphone.

i had the same issue on my nextbook tablet but i used the app last week to buy something

PayPal does same with iPhone 5S. It keeps asking for a security code but doesn't send one nor is there a place to tell it to send like there is on a PC. Ugh! It worked great and then they had to upgrade it. Sure slows down there ability to sell.

I could not pay for my item in PayPal on my iPad.  The path totally disappeard and left no forwarding method.   ronald700

Got this problem on my HTC one not even 5 minutes after making another purchase on my app through PayPal/eBay. 3 years is plenty of time to fix this but I wonder if they even noticed this thread...
