Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

In Turbo Lister, after you've added your listings to 'Upload', the 'Upload All' button high-lights,
when you click the down arrow, the option to 'upload to Selling Manager' is available.

I have a few questions about that.

1) where are those listings copied to? In my 'Seller Hub', I can't find 'Selling Manager' anywhere.
I did find this 'If you use Seller Hub to manage your eBay business, the features of Selling Manager are already included.' So that means that the functionality of Seller Manager is there, but not called 'Seller Manager'? Is it somewhere in Seller Hub-Listings? I see the following along the left side...Active, Unsold, Drafts, Scheduled, Ended...does Turbo Lister uploading listings into one of those areas?

2) is the entire listing, including pictures uploaded, or just the description part?
3) How long does the uploaded listings stay on eBay's servers?

Thanks!

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

I used Selling Manager Pro for years on an old selling id and not this one. Before the Seller Hub, eBay had Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro. The Selling Manager was a simple Seller Hub like tool. The Pro version allowed you to save listing templates for products which were full eBay listings. You would submit the saved listing to go live. You could also edit the live listing and save it back to the saved listing in Selling Manager Pro to keep them in sync.

I stopped using Selling Manager Pro about six years ago and went back to the basic free Selling Manager. I do believe that the feature of saved templates and products was lost when the Seller Hub was fully implemented.

I also used Turbo Lister at the time and I could upload a listing from Turbo Lister to Selling Manager Pro templates and products without going live as an active listing. But the interface from Turbo Lister and Selling Manager Pro was poor. I had no need for this capability in Turbo Lister. I used Selling Manager Pro exclusively to store my templates and worked directly in Selling Manager Pro. I used Turbo Lister to back up my Active listings, my Sold and Unsold for saving my listings made in Selling Manager Pro.

As for pictures, if you had a template saved in Selling Manager Pro you could lose them after 90 days since the pictures were last used. So if you saved a listing that sold and never had another to sell, keeping the listing in Selling Manager Pro would eventually lose the pictures because the picture system in eBay would drop the pictures after 90 days of inactivity. Which is why I used Turbo Lister to back up my listings so I would not lose my pictures.

Ironically using Turbo Lister to save listing ruined the pictures because it stored the pictures in a maximum of 400 pixel resolution on the longest side at the time. Even though I took my pictures at a higher resolution initially at 600 pixels to 1000 pixels and later 1600 pixels, saving them to Turbo Lister dropped the pictures all down too 400 pixels.

When eBay made the minimum size for pictures to be 500 pixels way back, it made my pictures saved in Turbo Lister too small to use in eBay!!! Turbo Lister was not updated to save pictures higher that 400 pixels for a long time after the 500 pixel minimum was implemented. Typical eBay made disaster. I never knew that saving listing made in eBay online and eventually saved back to Turbo Lister would reduce the pictures to 400 pixels!

End of my history lesson as I recall using Selling Manager Pro and Turbo Lister.

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

Thanks for the detailed history lesson.  I think I need to rephrase my question....what do I click in Seller Hub-Listings(or someplace else?) to see the listings that I have uploaded from Turbo Lister?

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

Listing in Turbo Lister could be uploaded to eBay and become active listing starting at the time received in eBay. You could also upload the Turbo Lister listing as Scheduled Listings with a start date and time for up to three weeks in the future.

Uploaded Turbo Lister listings would be found in the Seller Hub Overview page in the Listing Module in the Seller Hub Overview page. Or at the top of the Overview page where Listing is shown.

You would click on Active Listing to see a list of you Active Listings. See screenshots below.

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

So, what you're saying is...using the 'Upload to Selling Manager' drop down menu in Turbo Lister actually makes a 'active/live' listing(same as uploading a listing via Turbo Lister)?

I was hoping that using the 'Upload to Selling Manager' would put the listing in a 'holding area', where I could make it 'live' when I choose. But, I guess not?

Makes me wonder why Turbo Lister would have three methods of uploading...Upload All, Upload Selected, and Upload to Selling Manager. I can understand why there's a upload selected...I use it myself sometimes only uploading a few items, in case there's errors in the listings.

Maybe I should do a one listing test to see what happens?

The free functionality provided by Turbo Lister just doesn't appear to exist anywhere on eBay. I've been looking for solutions same as you.

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

Tried uploading 1 listing via Turbo Lister's 'upload to selling manager', thinking(hoping) that the listings would get put into a 'holding area', that I could then 'activate' when I wanted. But, a msg box popped up...something about 'need to subscribe to 'selling manager pro'. Found out it was $15.99 a month($11.00 more than my store!) Well, I guess that's not going to work. Oh well, need to do more research...anyone know of a program with the same functionality as Turbo-Lister?(that's free!)

Hello @tkmops ,

When you upload a listing from Turbo Lister into Selling Manger, the direct will go to the Selling Manager Pro Inventory. However, if you don't have Selling Manager Pro, I would have expected Turbo Lister to give back an error.

The Selling Manager Pro Inventory serves a similar purpose to the Turbo Lister Inventory where you can store copies of listings for later use.

Thank you for your post!

Re: Where does Turbo Lister 'Upload to Selling Manager' upload to?

Does eBay offer something like Selling Manager Pro(that has the same functionality as Turbo-Lister...able to prepare your listings off-line, then upload to eBay), that's either free, or has a lower monthly subscription costs?
