What happened to Auto Relist?

I didn't have any items scheduled to go off last night, but I started getting 'Time to relist'

notices on nearly every item that was listed. Thinking maybe I miss read the end time, I went about

relisting each one, but soon realized that the Auto Relist for 8 weeks check box is gone?

I then went back to other items, many of which I know said 2, 3, and 4 days to go, are now ending in sequence all at once.

This is happening on four accounts all at once. (I handle 6 accounts at work).

A week ago I had a few items that I could have sworn had a few days left that ended early with only one bid.

They were listed as a 7 day auction with BIN, I checked one particular item because a buyer asked if he could pick it up vs. having it shipped and it was set to go off on Sat. morning. It ended on Wed night with the single bidder being the only bid.

I've been sticking to mostly all auction items because Fixed Price items rarely sell, they don't get any exposure unless someone finds one of my items and hits 'Buyers other items'.  FP items don't seem to show up in any search either and I've had same items sell as auction items over and over for more while the identical item sits as a fixed price item for months.

Their search engine is either broken, flawed in a big way, or they're somehow shoving the smaller seller's items out of the way somehow.

I had a similar incident as a buyer, a seller not too far from me who apparently just started listing here had about 30 items listed. I happened to find one of his items while scrolling to find one of my own ads.

I hit on one of his buy it now sales, and while I was there I looked over his other items for sale. I bought two more.  I ended up talking to the guy after a shipping issue came up, and he tells me he was surprised that with almost 200 items up I was his only sale in four months. His prices were good and the items were what I'd consider of high interest to collectors. While talking to the guy on the phone, I tried searching for his other items and got only 6 items. He told me he had nearly 200. I tried advanced searching his user name, and it came up as 'not found' despite having his list of items showing on another screen.

The only way I could get at most of his items was to enter the exact item number.

Another issue I'm seeing is that some of our ads at work that I list are showing up in vertical stack on the screen, others' are normal. When I open some ads, the add text and pics are being displaced one word per line all to the far left, even though all were listed the same way. Even those with minimal text did the same thing. I even let a few of them end without a relist and re-wrote the ad trying to fix that but some still showed up like that.

I also find that some ads, not just mine don't show up correctly on older computers, my personal laptop is still running Windows 8, , some ads won't show pics, some show up with the format or layout all screwed up, others won't load beyond the first 1/3 top view of the ad. This has been an issue for a few months, now I see it happening on my home computer which runs Win 10 and it only a few years old.

Thinking this all could be due to the pending new listing tool taking effect, I clicked on the button to use the new version listing tool.
I immediately found that nearly all the options are missing,  all I could do was change the ad text, pics, or shipping amounts, all the other specifics were missing. When I clicked on the button it said I could switch back at any time, but when I tried to switch back it gave me a warning saying that option is not available.
So it looks like I'm stuck with the new, possibly unfinished listing tool they've been warning us about?

(Auto relist wasn't in the new listing tool either)

The auto-relist function is hidden on the Auction pricing screen of the new unified lister. There is a  "show more options" button at the top left of that screen.  The 8 relists were given free to Quick Lister users and were not free when the seller switched to the Business Lister. However, I checked this new unified tool on my business account, and see the same screen shown below.

Once the auto-relist feature is selected to be visible on the pricing screen, you will need to actually turn it on (if it is not already turned on) within the pricing screen.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

I got the same thing happening here, all my items are ending without relisting, most were listed last week.
I had a few end early for some reason, only one had a bid. The others were set to end in three days when I looked at them on Friday, then they were ended the next morning, going off and not relisting at an odd amount of total time. I had one item listed for a 7 day auction, it was midway through, with 3days 4hrs left. I got an email from a buyer who wanted to buy it now but it was an auction only listing. It wouldn't let me change the price or add a BIN, I told the guy I don't end items early, and if he wanted it to just bid.

20 minutes later I got an email saying my item has sold. I sold for the minimum bid, but ended early somehow? I just figured that the clock times in MY EBAY were wrong somehow, but I had a few others end early unsold, then not relist over the weekend. I had listed them on Tues for 7 day auctions and they ended on Sat and didn't relist. I had to go back and relist each one but the Auto Relist button is gone and I get some eBay survey about the new format popping up every time I relist an item.

The new listing tool is missing a bunch of options, which is fine by me but it won't work on my older laptops, only on the two newer computers. I get a blank screen in Win 7 or Vista.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

My auctions used to automatically relist 8 times without having to check any box. I used the Quick Listing Tool.

Around Apr. 22, 2022, I was forced into the new Unified Listing Tool. All my auctions stopped automatically relisting at that point.

eBay help desk said I cannot go back to the Quick Listing tool, that option is gone and I am forced to used the new Unified Listing tool. The problem is my auctions no longer automatically relist in the new Unified Listing tool. Help desk issued me a trouble ticket for that problem. She said it was a deeper eBay problem and would be fixed in a couple days.

After a couple days the issue was not fixed. My auctions are not automatically relisting. In the new Unified Listing tool, eBay help desk says I now need to check the option to "automatically relist." He talked me through to show me where the check box is, but I don't have that option at all in the new Unified Listing tool. He said that was a glitch and issued me a second trouble ticket. He didn't know when it would be fixed.

After a few days the glitch wasn't fixed. The help desk agent said it is a wide-spread glitch that isn't fixed yet. They don't know when it won't be fixed.

Until then, I cannot list auctions with automatic relisting up to 8 times. That functionality is gone. I can only list auctions that end in 7 to 10 days, or "good until cancelled" listings.

I would really like the "automatic relisting of up to 8 times" for auction listings to come back.

Anyone else having this problem?

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

Thank you for the screen shot, shipscript. My problem is when I go there I don't have the option to Auto Relist. It's missing on my account. That's the glitch.

@vilaluz

Are you registered as a business account?

Are you able to assign automation rules on your auctions?

No, I'm a individual seller, not a business.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

I have the same problem,.  I don’t have auto relist for auctions, talking with eBay for business on Facebook.  I am not a business.  They are trying to resolve this.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

Did auto relist just show up?  Mine disappeared about June 22-26th.  I called and eBay rep said it was automatic but a week late all my items just ended.  Do you have any idea how eBay fixed yours?

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

Same problem here.  I even contacted eBay for business to help.  This has been going on since June 22-26, and I discovered all my items ended, even though eBay told me it was automatically relisted.   If anyone can add screen shots that would help.  I want it back!

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

I'm having the same issue.  All of my items don't re-list anymore and there's no "automatically relist for up to 8 times" button anymore. I HATE this new format they've brought in.  I wish they had left the old system alone. .. I'm wondering if they eliminated this button on purpose so that people would have to start paying fees again each time an item relists.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

Off course that's the reason they removed the button. It is all about getting more fees. At the moment they want you to relist everything as a buy it now.  And you know what comes next. They will raise the selling fees on BIN and don't be surprised to see a monthly listing fee on BIN's

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

I found a work around, however it is a pain to do.  Go to your ended auctions, start clicking on items, and click on the drop down for sell similar.  Scroll through your item to see if the auto relist button is there.  If so, then you hit pay dirt.  Then just laboriously go through the listing process.  I don't know how long that will last.

Re: What happened to Auto Relist?

Than you for the "work around", I did have a few I could use that on.  It only has the auto-relist on the items that listed before the latest format change.  I am thinking that they are going to start charging for every time we list an auction and that is why the auto-relist button is now unavailable.
