Sending an invoice for local pickup item

To sell an item for local pickup, can an invoice be sent to buyer to pay half immediately and the remainder upon pickup. Thank you.

No, sorry, eBay doesn't support partial payments.

The buyer will be required to pay in full at checkout with state Sales tax applied. Then they get a QR code you scan when they pick it up.

In a few states there may be a "pay on pickup" option where Sales Tax isn't required to be collected, but NY isn't one of them.
