I had to refund a buyer because the standard ebay package was lost. USPS will not honor tracking or insurance because it is an ebay-purchased label. I cannot find anywhere on the ebay site to file a claim to ebay as a seller. Does anyone know how a seller gets reimbursed when he or she had to refund a buyer because the ebay-purchased labelled package was lost? Thanks

If it is a USPS label you purchased and USPS has said the item is lost, you file a claim with USPS.
It doesnt matter that you bought it on eBay.

I might add: does the seller only get a refund from shipping charge using ESE...not the value of the item shipped? I don't know...but I thought I would throw that out also. Others here will answer that for us.

Hi, thanks. When I try to file the claim with USPS, I am told what it is not a valid tracking number.

I am looking for the value of the item and the shipping charges.

ESE insurance does not involve USPS.
The information you need is at this link
Insurance is via PIP.
