Good morning. I am trying to create a new listing that is a Pick Your card lot with 5 different cards. I updated the Attributes and options you've selected part. For each variation I entered a different picture, price, and quantity. But when I try to list the item I am getting a 'Card Attributes is not allowed as a variation specific error". I don't understand what this means. I have been doing this format for many weeks now. The version that I am working on is based on a 'Sell Similar" that I did on one I created 2 weeks ago. Tried playing with Item Specifics and even Category with no luck
Is there some kind of update in ebay where this types of listing can't be done anymore?
Thanks

How do we get this? Thank you

The prior post with the instructions contains a link to the tool
If you try it on a small listing as a test, please let me know your results.

I certainly must apologize. It looks like I spelled the link wrong. This is the correct link to the tool:

There will be another update tomorrow.

Thank you so much but this is beyond my computer capabilities. I tried the tool and I just do not understand what to do. I see the instructions and then I see all of the data and my mind is blown. LOL. Just an older guy that's easily confused by technology this sophisticated. Plus I do not have the patience to try to figure it out.
Again, you are helping so many and I do appreciate it. I had over 120 listings to change and over the last 30 days, I have been updating many and ending others. I have 10 left to do but they are big ones.
Sincerely,
Steve

Trying it but here is what I have done. Since only 10 need to be updated I first downloaded the whole file. I then copied and pasted the information for the Item Number I want to update into a new spreadsheet. I then saved it in CSV format. I then tried to upload the file and this is what I get:

It sounds like the header row may have been lost.
Here are instructions for the tool:
When the scan completes, set the report options as follows:
(those settings will find the items that have the old name you selected)

Am I able to just use certain sections of the download to pick out the listings that need updating? If so, how? Once I upload the file back to eBay, then what? Does the file automatically update the listings? Just confused. Thank you.

You can manually edit out the listing rows you don't want revised; but using the find/replace should pull in only the listings that match the find/replace. If you want to update only some of the listings that matched, then delete the item rows you don't want, either using your spreadsheet tool or by editing the report directly before downloading the report.
If there are only a few listings you want to change, use the search box at the top of the tool to pull in only a select few listings. The item number would be entered like this:
123456789012
and multiple item numbers would be searched like this (the limit is around twenty):
(123456789012, 234567890123, 4567879012345)
Then when you click "Find items", only those specified items will be pulled into the tool.
While learning, I would recommend picking just one listing using the search option. When that loads, take advantage of find/replace in the report. Then you won't have to manually edit your spreadsheet. Download that file and upload to Seller Hub.
When uploading the file to Seller Hub, a small status box will overlay the bottom left corner. That status will report success or failure, but it only refers to the acceptability of your file. If the upload was successful, your listing may be revised, or not. (You can check the listing itself. But it is best to check the status report.)
Your upload job will appear as a new entry on the Seller Hub page where you are uploading, and, over to the right, you'll see the Status and Action. Use the Action to "Download response file". This is a spreadsheet file that will contain any messages associated with the revision. Warnings and errors will be reported there, and may include other issues with the listing that must also be addressed.

and there is nothing in listing update that says Store Fixed Price.

The only valid condition code for sports cards seems to be 3000, so you will need to edit your file to change your condition numbers (or maybe I need to put that option into the tool and make it even more complex, LOL). I see that you are using 2750 and 0. The 2750 must be changed to 3000. I don't know if 0 can remain or must also be changed.
The Store warning is not related to your file. That is a warning that your listing was originally created as a store listing. eBay will automatically make the change from Store Fixed Price to Basic Fixed Price, so that message is advisory only and won't affect your revision.

How do I change that condition code when Ebay won’t allow me to change anything in the listing until the Card Attributes is removed?

Make the condition change in the same revision file that is changing the variations. Recall that you can edit the listing online and make all changes at the same time. An uploader revision works the same way to avoid the chicken/egg problem.

Sorry……all mumbo jumbo to me. Lol. Sorry. You have been great. I just am terrible with spreadsheets and all of this other stuff. I m just going to delete the listings and start from scratch.

Don't despair, You are so close! All you have to do is change the 2750 to 3000. You can change that right there on the tool before you download the file from the tool.
Then upload again in Seller Hub.

Edit in the tool here. Change 2750 to 3000.
