Personalization Tool Difficulties (U.S. Seller)

I've been on eBay for a number of years but a couple of years ago, I closed my store due to the platform not having any way to personalize items for the customer. I sell document props that are used for table top roleplaying games and often the customer has to put in character names, dates, locations, etc. for us to customize the document for them. Before, I had put all this information in the listing and asked the customer to either place the information in Order Details or to message us. Of course many customers do not read the complete listing and many times we were forced to cancel orders due to not having the needed information and messaging the customer did not always help for as many of you know, they don't always respond.

Enter eBay's new personalization tool! I was excited and decided to reopen my store so I did. Now I've spent all morning with a customer service rep who, after several hours of waiting, told me that I would need to list my documents under Action Figures to make it work. Really? I tried Collectibles and Toys and Hobbies/Games/Roleplaying Games/Dungeons and Dragons/ (the preferred category) but nothing has worked. I even tried the category for paper crafts/scrapbooking and even that didn't work.  The option doesn't even show up. Does anyone know of a solution? So far, I've only listed the items that I sell that don't need personalization but the majority of my stuff does.

It looks like I did find one solution after playing around with the categories - that of putting it under Art/Art Prints. It's not really specific to my listings but it may have to work if I am to list the personalized items. It did let me know that the issue is evidently with the specific categories - some are just not included with the personalization tool. I'm going to try some other categories and see if they work.
