I supervise the e-commerce dept. of a small e-recycling business. (not associated with this account)
I am interested in utilizing the features of Multi user account access esp being able to "firewall" access to the primary business account and the ability to review and track activity of each employee, however;
We have set the MUAA feature up for a single employee AS TEST and have as yet been unable to get the "messaging" to function even after a call to tech support. The company hires employees for the exact purpose of interacting with customers and handling user offers etc. etc. The employees eBay account does not have the ability to update to the new messaging app and I have found no way to manually opt in to the latest application for them (though the primary business account is updated) This is a severely limiting feature absence. Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.
Also the employee has no way of ending a listing or even de listing as an authorized user. We are a brick and mortar as well as an online seller and it seems an unreasonable expectation that every employee who sells a product out of our front doors would then need to " run to admin" every time, to simply remove an item from the active listings in some way that will allow us to remain in compliance ie: actually having the product that is listed for sale in inventory that is listed on eBay.
Maybe we can have them "revise" the listing that has been sold over the counter to a quantity of zero ........ or maybe we can have our employees simply revise the listing with big capital letters "NOT IN INVENTORY"
If someone has found a workaround for these obvious launch limitations (although it has been in the wild for a few years yes?) in the basic functionality of MUAA, I honestly would appreciate the help....
Probably coming off a bit.... well..... but good grief, I have seen spreadsheets with more pre planning for usability.
