The new listing format does not give an option to use colored text. It's here on this forum but not on listing pages. There is a tiny paint bucket of some dark colors but when a color is clicked on we get nothing.
Where are the font colors?
Thanks.

Clicking the paint bucket should open the color palette of drab colors. To apply the drab color, highlight the text, click the bucket, and then click a color on the palette.
Others have reported dismay over the colors provided. I think those colors were chosen for better contrast for accessibility settings. To get a more vibrant color, you may need to create your description in another editor and paste it into the description. Or, you can checkmark the HTML view and replace a color like #872345 with the word red.

I appreciate how you help many here with work arounds like the ones you just proved to help us get the most basic cookie...red.... In our descriptions....
NOTE TO EBAY: why are you making your customers learn how to write html code just to make a simple listing? Isn't it your job to provide basic tools that we need to use the platform. It is not a simpler listing tool if we need to take 6 extra steps and write code to make a listing..... We want red! Give it to us without making us confirm with 2x the clicks and switch to HTML to access it. This is basic programming- stop complicating it.

been frustrated since the change. I want white text over a darker colored background in the listing description title banner. my old listings had that. when I use the old listings as a template and paste the new title into the description banner, it is black on the darker background and hard to read. clicking the color bucket gives you only dark colors as mentioned before. today I figured out a workaround to that (using the html editor was not working because the html from the older listing was generated by ebay and too wonky for me to edit). I copied the title text which is black by default and pasted it into my mac's note app. it has a front color selection what includes white in the color wheel. picked it and pasted the note text into the old banner. bingo!
