Managed payments SUCK

This new payments system sucks. I don't get my money right away & it's not going into my paypal account. It is screwing up my accounting and making it harder to pay for shipping as I have to transfer money into my paypal to pay for shipping. I don't know which items they are giving me my money for. They get to hold onto it in their bank and are making millions on interest while they have it thinking we are stupid and have no idea what they are doing. It is making things so much harder to sell on here. No wonder the honest dealers are leaving, I'm about to call it quits as well. I want to handle my own funds. I'm not a 14 year old that needs help managing his money. Tell eBay to GIVE us back our MONEY!

eBay will be forcing sellers to mail your items to a processing warehouse, just like "FullfilmentByAmazon".

Trust me. Its coming next, they delayed it for this year, but it is coming soon. Google "eBay Managed Delivery".

And research the "ePID", the "eBay Product Identifer". Soon, like on AZ, all sellers will share the same listing and complete with each other to offer the lowest price.

The Hedge Fund Managers that sit on the eBay board of directors have a new direction to maximize profit, and take market share from AZ, hence all of the recent changes.
Pierre O, eBay founder, stepped off the Board in August.

eBay as we knew it has gone, welcome to "eBamAzon".

They can't do that.  You are just being silly.  And Amazon doesn't do that.  Using FBA is an option, not a requirement.  Ebay may one day soon have something like that and sellers will have yet another choice to make.  It would work great for some and not for others just like it does on Amazon.

OMG do you understand what an EPID is?  There are all kinds of items that do not have UPCs.  In those cases a seller can have an EPID set up so the product has such a number.  Ebay has offered EPIDs for awhile now.

As for the Amazon structure of listings, that won't work here on Ebay.  Our listing structures are not even close to being compatible with an Amazon format.

I get it, you are angry with Ebay.  But you are being unrealistic in your concerns.   And your concerns have absolutely nothing to do with MP other than you are upset about MP.

It's far more than just managed payments and to say otherwise is very naive. Managed payments will just be the last straw for most.

The hedge fund guys have no interest in that. It's very obvious what theyre doing. They are making eBay sell off portions of their business (PayPal, Stubhub, etc), sucking the capital out of that they can, and then will either walk away from the empty shell theyve left, or receive stock in whichever company buys eBay for pennies on the dollar. Theyve allowed these guys to completely gut eBay.

Hey Mam, what if we don't want to use our bank?  What if we want a system that is easier ofor us instead of easier for eBay?  What can't eBay, a multi-billion dollar business give us options so that we can choose the method that is best for each situation?

They went from 10% fees to 12.35% fees.  They took the 2.9 PP fees and kept them for themselves instead of passing it on to their customers.  Someone will give us a lot of paragraphs to explain this but we only need 1 word. GREEDY!

Count me on your side. Greedy Ebay giving us less options, less control, and less of our money faster.  And then they try to tell us how much better this will be.  Yeah, better for them.

Managed Payments is a step back, waiting 3 days to get paid. Trying to keep track to make sure they don't cheat you while they are cheating you.

It's a big mess and lots of folks are going elsewhere. I hear Bonanza is getting to a point where it can compete with Ebay and the fee is about 10% total... not about 16% with Ebay con games.

They are currently only allowed to transfer money to an actual bank account.  That is likely due to Anti Money Laundering laws, not because they are just trying to difficult for you.

Why don't you want your money going into a bank account?

That would be because they are now performing the money processing service too.  Which was not a service they did for the lower fees.  We aren't getting any fee increase moving into MP.  It is likely a very neutral overall change and maybe a slight decrease in fees for some.

There are no fees in MP that are 16% that I'm aware of, unless I missed something.  I absolutely agree that MP is no where near as flexible as PP.  It would be silly to argue that point because it is certainly true.  And I'm with you on this.  I too would have rather just stay with PP.  I love PP and was very happy there.  But it isn't to be if I want to continue to sell on Ebay and I do want to continue to sell on Ebay.

I suggest you do more research.  I've sold on Bonanza before, well let me rephrase that.  I've listed on Bonanza before.  In an entire year I had one sale.  Now that may be that what I sell wasn't popular there and maybe you'd have better luck.  Just remember the grass isn't always green elsewhere.  But whatever you do, I wish you nothing but the very best.
