Hello,
I sell only a few items a month on eBay but hope to increase my volume soon. I've always cut out and taped the labels. To save time, I'm thinking that I should purchase a label printer. YouTube videos seem to feature and recommend only the latest wireless printers which are quite expensive. I print my labels from my desktop at home so I don't see that a wireless printer would be of much benefit to me. Can anyone recommend a good label printer that costs less than $200? I'm open to buying use and a corded one would be fine. TIA

This is what I purchased over a year and a half ago (Rollo Thermal). Still working perfect without any maintenance. Price has dropped.
- Thermal printer does not require any ink.
- Some shippers provide free 4x6 labels (not usps)
- I used to cut and tape paper labels. No going back now. I even print the packing slip on a label.
- I also have a regular printer, but do not use it for eBay shipping. Sometimes I just print coupons and small documents on the rollo.
Not associated with this seller. This is just where I purchased my original printer which has worked without any problems:

You will need to find another source on eBay or elsewhere. Seller doesn't appear to be in business. Rollo and other good thermal printers can be found for $200 or less.

For just USPS a small low cost printer like the Dymo 450 (do not buy 550), is fine. Or for USPS plus FedEx/UPS, a larger 4"x6" printer is needed like the Dymo 4XL (do not buy the 5XL). Other manufacturers also have printers in these size.
Note the 4x6 labels will even fit the packing slip and do some international labels.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking at the Dymo 450. The labels are waterproof?

I just bought a "PEDOOLO" thermal label printer for $79 and I am happy with it!
It offers wired or wireless printing via bluetooth. It's SO fast!
Prior, I was cutting and taping labels too and this is a huge time saving win for me. I was hesitant to buy a $100+ printer because it's a bigger investment when you're still establishing but I'm truly pleased with this affordable alternative.
No smudging and clear printing, it has its own app so you can adjust settings and do a few different things with the printer.

Thermal printers use no ink, so the printing does not run, if they get wet.
