I try typing on eBay today and it keeps stopping my text.

I've had it happen three times now today. First, when I was typing on my laptop, trying to send a message to a seller, and later when setting my Time Away for a weekend. Frustratingly, after each letter, backspace, delete, or return-key press, the blinking "|" typing symbol goes away and I have to re-click on the text box. It only seems to be on eBay text boxes as I eventually used the Google search bar above to type out my sentences. Thankfully, it's not happening right now. Does anyone have similar experiences or recommendations to get it back to normal?

If you are using a Grammarly browser extension, try disabling it.

Otherwise, try another browser to see if that makes a difference.

This is also happening to me using MS Edge. It seems to only happen on eBay and I don't have Grammerly. It's really annoying !!  I also turned off Edge spell and grammer check... no change. I don't want to use another browser so I'm hoping it can be fixed.

I just switched to MS Edge [Version 119.0.2151.93 (Official build) (64-bit))] on Win 10 desktop (which I updated last night).

I am typing into this forum textbox with no issues, although there are blue underlines appearing along the way that I can select as an autofill or auto-correct option.  

I tried the same with an eBay message to a seller and the performance was the same. There was no noticeable lag. Only the intervention of Edge's spellchecker. 

Thus, I might surmise that there could be some other browser addon affecting your own browser performance.
