How to resolve the 'Your listing didn't follow our Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy.'

How to resolve the 'Your listing didn't follow our Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy.'

Recently I've received 270 of the above emails....probably due to that I have links in my listings for my other two eBay stores(NO links to outside eBay).

When I talked with eBay support and wrote 'your AI detection program is giving you 'false-positives'. Is there a way to 'bulk-fix' these listings, or change your AI program to NOT flag links to my other eBay stores?..they said no.

I have 17,591 listings across 3 stores...it would take weeks to fix each listing individually...it seems there's nothing they can do about it.

I was able to bulk-edit some of my auction listings by removing all of my description and inserting a new one without the links. But there are another 271 listings that were ended by eBay's policy.

But when I click on an item in my Resolution Hub, it brings up an 'Overview' page with a highlighted 'Revise listing' button, but when pressed, it comes back with 'You are not allowed to revise ended listings'. What the?

The policy violation listings are in my unsold listings, but they all have greyed-out boxes on the left side, and no way(that I can see) of revising them.

Anyone know how to revise those 'policy violations' listings in unsold listings?

Thanks!

If the listings were active I would advise using the bulk edit tool to "find and replace" text in the description.

Your listings are ended, so my suggestion is to "sell similar" in bulk and seeing if you have the same bulk edit option before publishing the listings.

I think you will, but I'm not 100% sure and can't take the time to test right now (perhaps later). Try it and see.

Thanks for the fast response. In 'Manage unsold listings', with Pricing format- auction selected...I see my listings, but while the box to the left of 'Actions' is clickable, all the other boxes for each listing are greyed-out, and not clickable.

How can I '"sell similar" in bulk' if the 'Relist' and the 'Sell similar' buttons are not clickable? Is there another way to get these listings into the bulk editor where I can make changes?

I'm not sure what to say since eBay disabled the sell similar and relist buttons.

The first option coming to mind @popch3 is seeing if third party listing software is able to pull in those listings. I don't know if they can considering the status, but it's worth a shot - and a lot of these programs offer a free one week trial.

Considering the number of listings I think it's worth a shot. Let me know how it works out.

Also - I took a look at one of your listings:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/205199201846

You still have all the store links in your description so you should bulk edit and remove those if that's what you believe caused the problem.

Re: How to resolve the 'Your listing didn't follow our Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay polic

I don't think it's those links, at the bottom of my main listing body, as they are just text, and not clickable. I think what's getting flagged by eBays' AI detection software is that most of my listings have this at the top of the listing:

For more books and my current Feedback score(over 950), and length of time being a eBay seller, since Aug 1997, see my two other eBay Stores, Pop Culture Heaven Com II and , Pop Culture Heaven Com

 And those links are clickable.

So far, it seems, only my auctions are getting flagged...I was able to revise some of them before they got 'detected, but there's still 249 that were ended by eBay, in my unsold, with no way of revising them.

I've now talked with 3 different 'support' agents...no one has been able to help me...so it looks like those 249 listings will just sit in unsold, then roll off after 90 days, or I individually re-list all of them, without links.

It's the COM in your other 2 store names I bet, makes them look like websites
