For the first time ever, I have a buyer asking if they can pay me 'another way' - I am trying to find out exactly what other way they're thinking of, but I can't figure out how to change/add accepted payment methods for the items I'm selling. Additionally, this buyer has technically already 'bought' an item, and so it is no longer considered active - just hasn't been paid for yet.

Sellers cannot change accepted payment methods. Only ebay can do that. Currently accepted are credit cards, paypal, google pay and apple pay. No bitcoins, no pigs, no goats, no checks, etc.

You can't change the payment method, ebay posts all acceptable payment methods on the listing. Just out of curiosity, how do the want to pay you?

Boy, that's brass. Tell the buyer that you're both bound to eBay policy and to pick one of the many available choices. Geez...

Good question! I've asked them that, and they haven't replied...

They are either completely new to eBay, or trying to scam you.
