Handling time

I need to increase my handling time on all my listings but have not been able to find how that is done.

If anyone knows and could send me the instructions like I am a 5th grader I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Do you know how to find your active listings in seller hub?

Do you know how to 'bulk' edit once you've click on your 'active listings'?

I will assume you know how to get to the Seller Hub- so just see pictures.

Follow these 6 steps; then just follow the prompts to completion.

'I am a 5th grader'....I thought one had to be 18 years of age to sell on eBay. Am I wrong?

And the account here is from 2007.

@12345jamesstamps ,

they said explain it as if they were a 5th grader.

@daisysquiltshoppe ,

if you were a 5th grader, we wouldn’t need to explain how to do anything online, lol.

Thanks for your reply. It's no wonder I can't find it.  It is not in any of the drop downs either.

Are you kidding?

5th graders probably know much more than us old folks  these days when it comes to technology.

See the light blue vertical bar at the side of your picture?  That's a scroll bar.......move it down and more "stuff" will appear........

Hi @daisysquiltshoppe . Your screenshot shows you are using business policies. You'll have to update every one of your "shipping" policies.

In order to update handling time:

Go to this page: https://www.ebay.com/bp/manage

To the left of any / all policies that say Shipping, follow these steps.

Click the 3 vertical dots, then select edit.

Scroll down to the bottom of page to handling time.

Change handling time.

Click blue Save button.

Do this for all of your Shipping policies, but keep in mind:

Auction format listings with bids will not be updated. Listings that have open/active offers will not be updated. They will be split off into a "copy" policy with the old handling time. You'll have to go back to those listings after the offers expire to change the shipping policy, then delete the copy policy.

If you have templates or use relist or sell similar on old listings, it's going to bring in a copy of that old policy so you'll need to change the policy before publishing to your newer handling time policies.

Edit to add: The helpful screenshots posted above only work if you don't use business policies.

@wastingtime101I don't use business policies.......but out of curiosity, do they make the handling option not appear in the bulk dropdown menu?  Or does it just not work if you use it there?

@dhbookds

Within bulk edit you can assign different policies.

But handling time is tied to policies so you have to edit your policies one by one to change handling time.

I've been fighting for years to try and get eBay to separate handling time from shipping policies and create a stand-alone handling time policy to make the process easier.
