Can I delete it from the server it was generated from?
Thank you!

That's very nice of you but you did the hard work. I marked accepted as solution for your post that shows to change UTF-8 to western ISO-8859-1. You really are a Rock Star! I didn't leave the listing up because I'm NOT selling my dog! lol.

I think I have this formatted now. Here are a few things to change. I do not know why you are getting a 'Abandoned job' error. You should not, with the info you have posted. Again, are you getting the same number of actions on the upload results page as you have in the file (minus headings)?
Well anyway, lets go though this file. Do not worry, first attempts at FileExchange always have error/misconceptions. Remember the AdvancedInstructions are literal. Spelling, Capitalization and required values are literal.
1) The correct value for 'ConditionID' is '1000' for new items. ConditionIDs are numeric values. It is always 1000 for new items, but new other (inventoried new items and vintage/unopened) and used items may have different numeric values, depending on the category.
2) 'Many' is not a good value for Brand. Remember, Google insists on Brand/MPN to qualify for search inclusion. You want to give a valid value for Brand and MPN. This is a single item listing, so there is no reason not to include a valid Brand. Fpor homemade products, give it a name and a MPN of 00001. This starts the Google bots of right. A home made brand name is established and the first product of that brand has an identifier.
3) Leave Custom Bundle blank. Single items are not a bundle.
4) @shipscript can tell you if you really need to use 'Plus' on your Gallery picture.
5) The value for 'Format' is 'FixedPrice' not 'Fixed price'. Remember, the AdvancedInstructions are strict.
6) You do not need a StartPrice and a BuyItNow price. Just use the 'StartPrice'.
7) 'Location' is supposed to be 'City,State' for US members. I would change the heading '*Location' to 'PostalCode'. Then the zipcode value will be correct, for FileExchange to accept.
😎 You must specify a ShippingService-1:Option, and ShippingService-1:Cost (even if the cost is zero).
9) 'Days_14' is not valid. It must be 'Days_30' or 'Days_60'.
10) 'Buyer pays to return item' is not valid. The correct value is 'Buyer
11) Unless you live in a sales tax free state, you will want to set up a tax table and set 'UseTaxTable' to 1.

Wow, thanks @shipscript . I started my answer earlier, posted about 8pm CST, then noticed the confab you all had had within that time. Looks like you all had it under control. Sorry, I could not have been more available, but you'all had it solved already.
There may still be a few tips in my previous post.

@dollybeauty Your post was very helpful. I copied the entire reply and saved it.
I updated the values as follows. Others were updated with @shipscript help. We created a single item csv to iron out the difficulties in getting a successful upload. Thank you again, @shipscript
2) "Many" was just a filler. I have the correct brand on my csv.
2a) MPN - do I use the manufacturers sku? That's all they have on the spreadsheet.
3) Leave Custom Bundle blank. Single items are not a bundle. I removed "no" but I'm going to sell multiple items.
Would I put "yes" or "no" for multiple listings of the same product with variations?
4) @shipscript Do I need to use 'Plus' on my Gallery picture?
7) Location shows a zip code on page 24 and the csv worked.
9) 'Days_14' is not valid. I changed it to 'Days_30'.
11) Updated 'UseTaxTable' to 1. I haven't set up a tax table yet. Will look for where to do it.
Thank you!

@dollybeauty Your updates led to a successful single item listing! Thank you!
It's here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123749509028
@shipscript - how do I disable it but leave it up instead of deleting the listing, please?
04-28-2019 07:28 AM
@dollybeauty - never mind about the sales tax table. I had already done it for my state and just added another.
@shipscript - "The only way to "unlist" is to end the listing. (Or, you can use out-of-stock to hide the listing, and we won't be able to see it)."
I edited the stock to zero but got this error so I put it back to "1".
It looks like there's a problem with this listing.

I edited the stock to zero but got this error so I put it back to "1".
Here is a tutorial for enabling out-of-stock. If you plan to sell new items that are replenishable, then you should be using stock control, but that means you will manually end your one-of-a-kind listings after they "sell out".
Stock control is also how you will hide that listing you are working on. While hidden, it is still running and editable.
We are also working on a "variations" tutorial. It is a useful read to help understand the gotchas in variation listings.
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Variation-Listings-let-s-work-on-a-tutorial/m-p/29764195
I'm trying to collect all that wisdom into a cohesive instructional page.
3) Leave Custom Bundle blank. Single items are not a bundle. I removed "no" but I'm going to sell multiple items. Would I put "yes" or "no" for multiple listings of the same product with variations?
A bundle is a group of related, but dissimilar items, sold as a single unit, like:
- a camera, a lens, and a carrying case
- a dog shirt and a dog toy.
4) @shipscript Do I need to use 'Plus' on my Gallery picture?
The "Plus" puts a popup image on search pages. It is a paid feature that most feel is unnecessary. However, in some categories, like clothing, the "Gallery Plus" is free and is automatically applied. So my short answer is don't apply it.
Interestingly, when Gallery Plus was applied to your test listing here, the File Exchange images failed....

You have an example of the features that are lost when self-hosted fails to transload. This is a new example to me. I knew zoom would fail. Please let @dollybeauty see this before you hide the listing.
7) Location shows a zip code on page 24 and the csv worked.

I can add another item to the single item test that we did or I can just delete it after @dollybeauty sees it.
I'm selling multiple items. I know how stock control works because I created a multiple variations listing step-by-step online in the form. That also let me easily create all my variations. I'm going to read the info from your links.
I'll fix the location.
Thank you!

I found the answer to using more than 12 images in the link that you posted above. I hope it works with a Mac!
"What I do for way too many to photograph properly is use shipscript's Zippy Photo Stitcher tool and put up to 9 photos in one gallery pic - for 36 you'd need to do 4 pics with 9 in each.
http://zippyhelp.com/imagetools/stitch/photostitch.htm
Also I found it very easy to create a single listing with multiple colors and sizes when I used the eBay online form. I hope the tutorial will include using file exchange. I'm still reading that other forum post. ( using iPhone right now. Much easier to reply on the desktop)

I don't yet know how to add variations through File Exchange, but I can use what we learn here and possibly add a technical section to the tutorial. Most sellers simply glaze over when they see "CSV" or the data fields associated with uploading, so kudos to you for diving into this!

Thanks for the kudos which happens to be part of my Twitter and Facebook handle.
I had a feeling that I should not bring up file exchange in that other post.
I'll work on it and give you whatever my results are. The only thing is, I hope you're joking when you say you don't know how to do it with file exchange because that's what my original question was to begin with. LOL.
Maybe I'm not reading that other forum topic the same way as people who don't use file exchange. Everything I am attempting to do with FileExchange, I've been doing for three or four years with my website spreadsheets so I'm looking forward to it.

@huntforI'm not joking. I really don't know how to create File Exchange variations. I learned File Exchange for only one purpose - so that my tools could help sellers bulk update their photos or bulk update their descriptions. Never had a need to learn variations and eBay's "test listings" category never allowed variations. However, this past year, eBay has added the variation option to the test category, so now I can go ahead and run variation tests there.
When you get ready to start the variations, please start a new thread on that topic and we'll end up with a tutorial there.
04-28-2019 01:16 PM
That sounds perfect to me. I'll do it and let you know.

You can not add variations to a single item listing (even if there are multiple of that item). Single item listings and variations are different animals.
You will have to end the single item listing and re-'Add' a variation. See my previous post on variations.
We are here to help with this. I am limited presently to before 8 am and after 7 pm CST. I have other obligations between these times.
You are doing great with this. Many other users are on a MAC, and this helps them to understand that they too can use FileExchange and how to do so.
