Changing your eBay Store URL

As of 12/28/2021, It will get you to the right screen as long as you are logged in so you can change your Store Name and URL.   (Like I said before, it is for those who already have the new store front.)

Once there, change you store name. 

Click the Save Settings at the bottom.  You may get two errors, one that the store name you are trying to change to is taken and/or that your store description is too long.  If this happens pick another name and/or shorten your store description. 

Don't worry about uploading your store logo and other stuff.  If you try and visit your store after saving you will see a page error code because the server has not switched everything over yet. 

 I waited a couple of minutes, logged out, cleared my cache, logged in and my store was up and running at the new URL with all of my store logos and other descriptions still intact.  I didn't have to change anything else.

Exactly, makes no sense what so ever. Me closing the store causes the same issues they are trying to solve by not letting you update URL for buyers, would it not be better to just allow us to make the change then offset the change to the 30days etc? 

Can anyone tell me will I need to redo all my business policies? I'm not a big deal on eBay but will be really annoyed if I will need to redo all the store specific stuff.

Wow, we really have to close our store to ensure our URL is updated with our new name? That is beyond ridiculous! So we have to close our store and wait 30 days, then reopen our store with the new name?

I have prepaid for a year subscription, so I can't close my store with a half year left!
