Business Policies are not changing properly after being edited and the tool is creating copies and making them be the default with incorrect information. I've been editing and re-editing these for the past week. I give the system several hours to update and I come back and see it's created more copies.
The policies in question are for shipping and returns. Screenshots:

@popblox The report showed 5 new errors this morning, so I fixed them. There wasn't anything to fix so I edited the titles and changed the system-created "USPSFirstClass copy" shipping choice back to USPSFirstClass in those 5 listings.
Next, I edited USPSFirstClass back to 1 day handling, since nothing changed when just opening and saving the policy again. Yesterday, I temporarily set it for 2 day handling.
Everything is successful!
I believe I also know how this started. When I was listing one at a time, my shipping service name was USPS First Class (with spaces). When I changed to using the bulk listing tool about 3 weeks ago or less, the shipping name had to be without spaces: USPSFirstClass
Thank you for all the help and hand holding.

Having the same issue. It keeps creating policy copies with old policy info.

We must be getting close to the Fall Update. That usually causes massive glitches.

I created my own but the issues are still there. Thanks for the reply!

It's very frustrating. I even experimented by leaving them alone for two days in a row last week.
Since you're experiencing these issues also, I'll just use the name that appears in the policies until they get it fixed.
thanks for letting me know!

It's good to know that, hopefully, there may be a resolution in the near future. I didn't know they had fall updates but now I do. Thanks.

@huntfor Yes, I saw that plus what you said in the original post ... does NOT surprise me at all. It reminds me of eBay's Catalog item selection ... I used it once and WOW ... had so much trouble trying to change a few things to match the item I had ... I saved it as a Draft and when I opened it again it had wiped out ALL my information. I had to complete and list it without saving it again ... what a pain.
I think with some of eBay's programming all the planets have to line up AND you have to do the work on an odd numbered day instead of an even numbered day ...

If this issue is affecting your use of spreadsheets for your bulk-listing. Here's one idea:
If you are forced to use very difficult business policy profile names, create a drop-down menu for that column in Excel, using the data validation/drop-down list function. Once you select "NoReturns" or otherwise at the drop-down at the top of the column, you could still drag it down and auto-complete the cells beneath.

I agree with what you said but also we need a full moon! grrr
I'm embroiled in a big mess with the shipping policies. I fix them and they keep going back.

No, that isn't it. My policy names are very easy. Please see the posts from the others here. See you in our other post!

John@tools By the way, I never had this problem while using the single listing option from Seller Hub. The screenshot shows three listings I created individually. They have the correct shipping prices. Please straighten this out for us. Thank you!

I have an update on this issue. I made changes to the policies and today it is not making a copy, it is just stating that there are errors, although when I check the policy within the items, they seem to have changed and are correct. So who knows...

@huntfor I seem to recall other threads and in general they were complaints about the policies not working ... if you try to turn them off I wonder what would happen? Policies like that to me are a little like artificial intelligence, they are intended to apply to future listings right? If so how can they cover absolutely every scenario?

I can't opt out of them because they required for eBay managed payments. Thank you for the suggestion.
