eBay has become extremely unhelpful, no matter how compliant you are. Our account dates back to 1999, yet we’ve received multiple and often contradictory explanations for why seller restrictions were placed. At the same time, we continue to receive seller reinstatement emails. It simply doesn’t add up.

@abdouexpress but it's time to 'ditch ebay' huh??

How long you’ve been on eBay doesn’t have any impact on any policies. If you’d like to explain what type of restrictions you’re referring to and what you’re trying to do, though, I’m sure some of us here can help.

@abdouexpress Yes, YOU better start ditching ebay.
For those that know HOW to operate here and make a profit....carry on.

Stainless Engine Covers -
A growing number of long-standing sellers are experiencing the same pattern:
accounts are reviewed, documentation is accepted, restrictions are officially lifted — and then a legacy flag or automated workflow re-fires when a routine action (like listing a single item) occurs.
That points to a systemic enforcement failure, not individual misconduct.
In many of these cases, the trigger isn’t eBay policy at all but malicious or erroneous user activity - false reports, coordinated abuse, or automated signals that aren’t properly contextualized for older accounts. When those signals aren’t fully retired after review, the system reasserts them.
Blaming sellers for backend inconsistencies ignores what’s actually happening. This is a known issue affecting compliant sellers across multiple categories, and it requires proper internal cleanup - not “starting over” or repeating the same advice.
This account dates back to 1999, from the very early days of online commerce. We were operating website stores stores in 1994 - and marketplaces before most of today’s platforms even existed. More recently, during the 2020 global supply crisis, our affiliated operations were among the largest suppliers of medical masks, supporting businesses and institutions when supply chains were breaking down.
If you haven’t dealt with multi-year reinstatement loops or legacy Trust & Safety flags, it’s easy to oversimplify. But many sellers here are dealing with the same structural problem.

The shocking feedbacks between a 'seller and buyer'...I am surprised eBay didn't remove these feedbacks.
Somehow, something happened over a ten buck purchase between you and the other person.

indeed that buyer/seller went to far on the distributors of Hilti.
