I just had a ceramic serving dish delivered to the customer on the 14th (it was a spring summer item I would assume would be used for Easter serving. Today (the 21st) they requested a return stating it arrived chipped and cracked. I would have and have refunded 100% immediately upon request but a week later after a holiday where it was most likely used..... I feel this is suspicious , what can I do?

Some sellers would look on social media for photos of the dish being used at Easter.

You can issue a return label and refund when it's returned or you can refund and tell them to keep the item or throw it away. Those are your only choices.
If it was insured ask them if they would cooperate with the insurance by providing a pic of the damage and the packing, and return the package to the PO for inspection if they ask.
Then start a claim with the pic.
If it's not insured just refund and be done.

Nothing. You get to eat it in one of two ways.
1. refund upon return
2. refund without a return

My sister worked at a large high-end store, people would buy a dress, wear it for an event and return the next day! Really sucks that people are like that.
