On refunds I had a customer who requested a refund on a product that hadn't been sent yet. I went to refund the customer except for the postage which I had already printed and he agreed. The refund amount that Ebay would only give him was the net amount, They would not give him the sales tax that was charged which in this case was $22.00 . I called Ebay and they said they do not refund Sales Tax and that was the law. My question is why is he paying the sales tax on something that he did not get and why does the state get money for a sale that is void? Please does anyone know? Any place else when an item is returned gives full refunds except if the seller has a restocking fee which I do not.

You could have selected Cancel the transaction rather than refund. eBay always refunds the sales tax.
If you purchased the shipping label within the last 5 days, go to Orders in Seller Hub and at the bottom you will see Labels and can void the label for a refund there. It takes a couple of weeks for the label refund to hit your account.
