no insurance on ebay return labels

This is what I wrote to seller today regarding a package that I just go today.

Hello I got your package today. I tried to cancel within minutes of my mistaken order and it would not let me and yet it took 10 days to get here. I started a return and printed the label and then I realized that the ebay return label does not have or offer insurance protection so I canceled the return and was going to do it again and once closed ebay will not let you start over. Dont know why since i just got the package today. I did not even open the watch box. Please advise as what I can do.

No, return shipping labels don't come with insurance.

Since you closed the return, there's nothing else you can do through Ebay.

If you paid through Pay Pal, you can open a return with them.

Ince an item is purchased and paid for you can ask to cancel but there are many reason a seller can not. Asking to cancel does not guarantee a cancelation.

You started a return for what? Once a return is started and closed the same return cannot be started again.

You should have started a return for "changed mind" then you can return and pay for whatever type of shipping service you want.  IF your original return was not for "changed mind" you should try that because that is what the real reason is.
