item returned by buyer is broken

eBay asked buyer to return my item. What happens if item will come back broken due to poor packaging by buyer.  Who will compensate me back.. and do I still need to return money back to buyer

Using your scenario... you'll have a broken item to issue a refund on. No compensation, just a loss. Relax for now.

You have beautiful listings. You are 1) a TRS Seller... why not 2) offer 30-Day (or better) Returns? I do because...

The combination of the two would give you the opportunity to reduce the amount of a refund (by up to 50%) if an item is returned to you in a destroyed/de-valued condition; different from the way you shipped it. I know it doesn't make a seller whole, but it lessens the sting of a bad refund. I've used it with success on a couple of rare occasions.

The only advice I'd give is to revisit your Returns policy. It's one of the last seller protections left... use it. Good luck to you.
