how to return an item purchased as an ebay "guest"

Since I made this purchase as an ebay guest, it does not show up in my account AND I cannot print the return label. When I try to print it, I get an error message. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Guest purchases are not connected to your eBay account.

 

For help with a guest purchase, first sign out of your current eBay account, then use the link in the email you received from eBay regarding the guest order.

Thank you for your help.   I have done what you suggested, but keep getting an error message when I try to print the mailing label:  "We couldn't process your request because of a technical issue. Please try again."

 

I have tried to print several times and keep getting the error message.  Any suggestions?

Ebay keeps telling me there is an issue with their server. I can't see any of my listings to do some book keeping. Maybe that is the issue causing the error with your return label? It just started this morning.

Make sure you are fully signed out of eBay before using the guest link. Or else use a private or incognito browser window. If you are still signed in to an eBay account in the browser window, you will get that error, because the guest purchase is not in your eBay account.

Try using a different browser, or a private or incognito browser window to see if that makes any difference.

 

If you are unable to print the label, you will likely have to contact eBay.

 

You can use the Help & Contact link at the bottom of the page to request a call back from eBay. Use the "Contact us" link and follow the prompts for your issue and you should eventually wind up on a page with a chat option. Choose that, and the last option that appears in the chat window -- use the "See more" option -- should be "Contact an Agent" to request a call-back if you are in North America.

If using the "Contact us" link takes you directly to the chat assistant window, you may have to enter some context dependent cues to get to the call back link.
